if South Point wanted to Have a REAL sale, they would price their rooms at $29/ night with the ripoff resort fee included in the $29/ night price. At $49/ night PLUS the ripoff resort fee is NOT a sale,IMHO.
It's so easy to get comps there I'm not sure why they even have "sales".

I'll be at SouthPoint next week, staying 4 days. Probably my 8th stay there. If anyone wants to know about the joint, just ask.

Tell me about the joint.

I'm not sure if you're really asking, or just mocking my use of the word "joint"
I wanted to know about the joint. But do they have a shuttle to the Strip?
Yeah they do. Schedule is on the website....looks like it's 7 days a week, every 1/2 hour, $8 cash. I've never done it myself.

For this upcoming trip I'm having a friend pick me up at the airport and drop me off at SP. Otherwise it's a pretty spendy cab ride and since I probably won't go anywhere else I don't need a car. This trip is just me and a buddy from Dallas. If we had the girls with us and had fancy dinners and other stuff planned I'd get a car.
They have a free airport shuttle.

I really like the place! Two out of the three times I stayed there, I hit a royal flush playing 25 cent video poker!
I've learned to not base how much I like a place simply based on whether or not I have success gambling there. There is obviously a good amount of luck involved in that. :-) However, if I really enjoy where I'm at it does make quite a bit of difference. The casino is the right size....has the games I want but isn't too big. Service has always been great. We were comped a suite upfront the very first time we went there. I'll be hitting the movie theater a couple times while I'm there....it's clean and a nice break from the machines. I've bowled there at 3am as well......a great time. All the food choices I need.......but then I'm not very needy.
Stayed there for the 1st time on a 2 night comp. in January.Realy like the place.Played mostly .25 VP.Had the buffet twice, both at breakfast. Was a nice selection of food.Ate at the Oyster Bar too,had the jumbalaya, cost around $20,was good also.Room was spacious, beds were comfortable, safe in the room, and no noise.Hoping that I gambled enough to get comped again in the future.
