South Point REALLY loves locals!!!

Just had to give them their do. So many of the casinos say they want locals, but don't give them much incentive to come in.

Anyway, South Point has occasionally sent us free play, 2 for 1's to the restaurants and buffet, while we do not gamble there as often or as much as we do to closer casinos or downtown.

They also have a great mix of video poker while others seem to be taking those out.
My local friends go there from time to time, but prefer the M. Speaking for tourists, I like discounted rooms, a good selection of restaurants, decent gaming, the cheapest bottle booze in town (along with Coast) and great access to I-15. My future visits will include nights there along with a couple downtown.

Good Luck!

Never walked into the place, but south point sure makes the drive along the 15 seem so much longer.

I'm curious to find a better place in LV for VP, and if this is a good one, I may have to check it.

I've stayed there twice, hit a royal both times. I really like the place!

I would too with a stay like that! Congrats

the closest we got to the South Point was the nearby Dunkin Donuts. DD alone might make a visit to SP worthwhile. I crave whole wheat glazed donuts from DD and their coffee... which do not exist in LA.
The only negative I can think of about the South Point is its distance from other properties if you want a change of scenery and don't have a car. The place is big without being too big, the rooms are similar to the rooms at the Orleans - larger than your average Vegas room, and the gaming is definitely more player friendly than any place on the strip.
went for the first time super bowl weekend.........we had a great time.

i hit 2 royals at the same bar, friday night and sunday night. my brother hit one sunday night at a different bar.

we will definitely go back again...

everything for both of us was comped, great hospitality......buffet was good and the prime rib place was great, great food at the deli also.......

also got free tickets to the super bowl party, lots of big screens, free booze and a big spread of food............
Love the Southpoint- really good buffet at lunch. Salad bar is very fresh and they have a soft serve ice-cream machine.
Gaming is pretty fair, sports book has some fun characters during football season and I LOVE the band that plays on Wednesday night with a free glass of wine for only 5 dollars entry- with a voucher of 5 dollars of free play.

Downfall- you gotta have a car....nuff said.
