SouthPoint comp

My wife is going to a convention in LV in August, but the hotel they are pimping is the Venetian for $200 a night.

I sent a note to my host at SP and she comped me 4 nights in the 1500sqft suite.

The only problem with that is all the activities from the Convention will be around the Venetian. I love the South Point but she's going to lose about two hours a day of networking time plus the expense of going back and forth. Wouldn't she be on an expense account for the show?

Excellent points. Here's the deal: it's a health/wellness/fitness network marketing company, so there's no "expense account" other than us. Through the company she entered a 4-month challenge for weight loss and fitness, and if she's chosen as a finalist she gets 2k and a free room at the Venetian anyhow (top prize is 20k). She's gotten herself under her high school weight (she's 44) and she's pretty ripped. Based on what I've seen, she has a good shot at it. If that happens, she can have the room at the Venetian and share it with a friend, and I'll stay out at the suite at Southpoint and give some other couple a good deal to stay there. If she ends up staying at Southpoint and not at the Venetian, and there are really late night activities I'm sure there are multiple people she could crash with.
