Southwest Airline Questions

About the only travel agencies I'm familiar with specialize in cruises.

Just curious with the internet and all the new travel sites does anyone use a travel agent anymore?

Actually Southwest only considers you a "no-show' if you have not cancelled at least 10 minutes before flight. All funds will be deposited back into your account if you cancel at least 10 minutes before scheduled departure. Another reason I continue to SWA!

Southwest policy stated on ticket:

If you do not plan to travel on your flight: In accordance with Southwest's No Show Policy, you must notify Southwest at least 10 minutes prior to your flight's scheduled departure if you do not plan to travel on the flight. If not, Southwest will cancel your reservation and all funds will be forfeited.

I didn't realize SW charged if you were a no-show. I was just telling my husband if you don't show up, they will give you the credit for future flights.

That used to be the case, not so very long ago. But they fixed that...must cancel 10 minutes prior or you lose your money or points.

Their old system was too generous to last forever.

One good thing to know (not new), if SWA knows that a flight will be delayed (30 minutes or more?), you can re-book for any other SWA flight that day (or within 24 hours?) at the same cost, in other words no additional cost for re-booking. I haven't done it, but I believe that SWA notifies of delays by whatever method you selected (e-mail, cell phone, etc.), and you'd have the opportunity to re-book. I didn't know about that until someone told me. I've never actually received a notification of delay (prior to getting to the airport!). I suppose if you are at the airport and they announce a delay, you could change to a later flight if you wanted to, and hop a cab back to the casino!
Are A49 and A50 good boarding numbers for my two connecting flights?

Should I be able to get an aisle seat if I'm traveling alone?

Thanks.

Definitely. That would still be true if you had a "b" number.
No problem.

Yes, you get to choose your seats before they let the families (with little kids board).
