Southwest Airline Tickets!

Have you checked other airlines as they sometimes run sales.

I recently booked a fare on Delta to fly somewhere else, $240 round trip. Lowest fare on SW is still $214 each way. Even if I don't downsize enough to do carryon and pay to check a bag, it's still worth it.
When rechecking airfares (or car rentals & hotels for that matter), it is important to do so in the Private Browser mode (Firefox) or similar style in other browsers. Once you check an airfare the page leaves info on your computer and many times will not give you a lower airfare when you go back to check again. Similar situation as others have found checking the same flight on the same web page with different browsers; different prices.
Y'all may want to try: airfare watch dog.com (all one word) you get updates to your favorite destinations.
I just did a quick check, and the going price from Manchester NH to Vegas the last week of April is currently $225 each way. Lord knows I remember a time not so long ago that $225 was the round trip fare, but by today's standards, this isn't bad. k

Oh my, that is a dirty trick.
I use firefox-how does one get into Private Browser mode?
In Firefox it's easy. Just go under tools and select "Start private browsing". Nothing is saved while in this mode. When you're finished, just go back to tools and choose "Stop private browsing." k

Thank you.
I have gotten lucky and caught a couple of sales I heard about on threads on other boards too. I would have never known about them even though I am signed up for fare watchers with several sites.

I bought two round trips from Seattle for just under $600 which wasn't too bad, but I've re-booked twice with Southwest and already have $100 credit for future trips because I heard about sales going since I booked. $500 for two from here is really good!

So keep on eye on people who announce that they have just booked trips, sometimes you can catch wind of a current sale.

Jet fuel is up over 120% since 1/20/09-enjoy that hope and change as the dollar continues to cheapen.

Although this might be true, wasn't it SWA that buys oil futures contracts to hedge against higher prices? I remember reading about that the last time the price of oil hit the roof, and that was their explanation for being able to keep prices low.

I know I've been searching for a low priced flight to Florida, and SWA keeps on coming in last....even with the others charging for luggage.
