Southwest price drop!

I just went to the Southwest site to check airfare for our trip in September. I was shocked to see that the prices had dropped from the $237 each way that it's been for the past couple of months to $120 each way. Needless to say, our airfare is booked. I hope others find these fare drops in their markets. Now I can focus on the hotels!

I've been trying to get a good fare from San Diego to Ft. Lauderdale, and SWA prices are ridiculous. American is way lower. I can get a RT fare at American for the same cost as one way on SWA.

Debating to use SW miles from the crdit card to fly down there,seems a shame to use them on that when we could drive and fly somewhere out west. Whats reno/tahoe liike?<wink wink,nudge nudge>,quietly indicates to wife.

Reno reminds me of downtown Vegas. Tahoe is gorgeous.
If you just want to play machines, stay in Reno. If you want to explore, spend a few nights in Tahoe.

Man wish we could get that kind of Deal, here t is still over $200.00 each way. ugh

Yesterday, Delta was running a sale. Got a roundtrip fare flying east from Phoenix for $200 less than Southwest.

This post got me curious so I did a price check from Philly to Las. $400 on SW or USair. Crazy. Might have to burn some frequent flier miles.

Did the same check Snidely. A little rich for my blood, but I doubt they will go down.
