Okay so I downloaded the SW Ding thing from the website. I have yet to see it do anything. Does it place a pop up with deals everyday? Has anyone else used this? Can someone explain it to me, as of right now I feel like I am missing the point.
It will ding when there is a deal on airfare. I have used it before, the only problem I see id that the deals are usually for cities that I am not going to.
I used to have it on my computer several years ago but only ever booked on flight with it (60 bucks round trip from Seattle to Reno). I'm not sure but I think the deals are usually on weekdays.
It will only show you the cities you have selected. There is rarely anything from Chicago, but if you put in a destination city, like LV or Orlando for me, you might see some deals. The stars would need to align just right.
Most of the Ding fares are for places no one would ever want to go, by routes created by the devil himself.
If I want to fly from Milwaukee to Indianapolis via Baltimore and Memphis, Ding will get me there cheaply in just a few more hours than it would take to drive.
