Spirit Airlines -Stop already

This Airline is always the first to put on new fees, charge for bags or charge for seats. enough is enough now they want to charge 2 bucks per ticket for people that might cancel their seats. This airline shows low prices unlit you go to check out and they hand it to you in the wallet. These fees are so wrong, I have had it. Us Airways now charges a 30.00 fee when using flight miles. When will this stop. Just give me a good fare and stop already.
Stop already, that's the spirit!
I used Spirit once. Never again!!
You can't reach them by phone. Near impossible to reach them for ANYTHING on the interet.

I'll pay more to go AA, Delta or United!!
I used spirit in 2009 for 5 Vegas trips. They were the only non-stop flight from Fort Lauderdale to Vegas.

I "got lucky" on all my flights, primarily because I'm experienced enough, and willing, to be at the airport very early and select an emergency row seat. Their regular seats have zero leg room, and I'm only 6' tall.

Even with all the fees, it was still the best value for me, based solely on cost. I even got a couple free upgrades to the big seats that are usually $50 extra. But that was due to social engineering and my ability to make it work, so to speak.

BUT, if I were stuck in a "bad" seat, it would've been very uncomfortable.

I don't understand this business about

"New government regulations require us to HIDE taxes in your fares."

All I know is that a day before this came into effect I could get a flight from Detroit to Vegas for about $50 cheaper.
I could see when the airlines were in trouble, that they needed to charge for baggage fees. But no that they are starting to make money again, they just look at the bottom line and keep charging the luxury taxes. If I fly anywhere, I usually take SWA. Since you can go almost nowhere non-stop any longer, you might as well take SWA and save a bundle.

Old way:

Fare: $200
Tax 1: $35
Tax 2: $45
Total: $280

Bullshit fees: $35
Real total: $315

New way:

Fare: $315

(but not all of it goes to us, your friendly airline. Lots of it goes to taxes but we can't talk about that. Next time you complain about the price of the air travel don't forget to complain to your representatives about the high taxes, too. )
Just for fun, I looked at Spirit airlines ticket prices. They broke down additional fees as follows:

Fuel charge was listed seperately, but added into the ticket total. Almost double the "ticket" price.

Than the "Other" fees ($60+ worth) were added.

Passenger Facility Fee
Passenger Usage Fee
Segment Fee
September 11th Security Fee
Unintended Consequences of DOT Regulations Fee

The above does not include the other potential extra charges / fees for things such as seat selection, baggage, priority boarding, boarding pass, telephone reservations, carry on bag fee for overhead storage, toilet paper, etc.

Don't forget, you can also purchase beverages or snacks while onboard.
