I was watching a replay of a game dan dierdorf was announcing last night, I swear He has to be the ABSOLUTE worst announcer out there. I used to think theisman was the worst, but I think ol dan took over.
Just give me the old standby of Summerall amd Madden. Never have there been a better announcing team. Too bad there's no way we will ever hear them again. Only in reruns.

Oh we are in disagreement. I think Joe Buck and Al Michaels (especially Al Michaels) are two of the best in the business.
In my mind, Al Michaels is outstanding. He is that rare broadcaster who is very bright and articulate and is good at bringing out the best of others in the booth.
I think everything is so politically correct today . Wouldn't be different if the announcers were not restricted from using some language . Just bleep them out . Can you imagine hear some one say . " Do you believe that f------ing call. " I am not saying the whole game long but say it like it really is bull--- that the refs called that pentalty. This is why the oldtimers are not cutting the mustard with all their sexist remarks.They just don't fit in with the family entertainment .Believe there are some good women working in the business but I personally miss the ole school hit em hard and say it like it is.
Maybe there should be a XM broadcast of a game and anything goes . It would certainly be entertaining listening to an old time player lashing at some ref or some stupid ass play by some player.
Joe Buck and Tim McCarver would be better announcers if they did not spend all their time kissing the Yankees ass everytime they broadcast a playoff game.

OMG..what planet are you on??? Those two hate the Yankees. PERIOD. They both get my vote for the worse annoucers ever. Buck sucks, but with Tim McGarver, he's god awful. They need to stay in the National League. UGH.
