Spring break in Las Vegas

We always plan a Vegas vacation in Feb. however, because of illness, we had to cancel this month. We are hoping to rebook in March or April. I'm wondering if Vegas is a big destination for spring break college kids. Will the strip be over run with drunken young adults? We are in our 70's and can't handle that anymore. I'm thinking March is more likely to have spring break, or does carry over to April. Once we get into April, we run into Easter break. Can anyone shed some light on this. Thank You so much.
The send of March brings March Madness. While the strip is packed with drunk college most every weekend, March Madness makes it worse.
Have you considered Laughlin? Cheaper, better games and most of the casinos are pretty close together.
It's a busy time of year for a variety of reasons .... perhaps the most significant being the NCAA basketball tournament and April being a popular month for weddings
Around mid-March and during St Patrick's day.March madness.
It was crowded last year, but not insane.
Early March is less crowded.

Vegas is constantly afflutter with this and that. I would agree that the main event of march is march madness at the sports books. Since we don't have beaches, the only way spring break affects us is higher airline tickets and a few extra visitors. Mostly of the the teacher kind, more than the student kind. Any given week, vegas can be booked with a special event. It is commonplace. If you can get a good price, I would not worry about any more or less shenanigans than any other time. The weather is beautiful and people don't have holiday commitment, so spring is actually "in season" for vegas. It tends to pick up a bit
spring break in vegas has become a "thing" in the last 5 years or so. but nothing like florida. vegas is a party town 7 days a week, so the effects would be minimal.
Agree with daisy and vegasdev. You'll be fine.

There is always a reason for the Strip to be busy, but it never spoiled a trip for us. Flight prices and hotel offers drive our planning, and when those two things come together, that's when we go regardless. Some of the hotels on the South Strip (MGM, NYNY, Luxor, seem to attract a lot of rowdy youngsters at night, but we don't go that way much. By nightfall we stay close to our casino, and often are in the room. Love room service at night, TV, jammies, nobody bothering us.
With the exception of edc, I have never had any issues anywhere. And edc people don't necessarily bother or party Any more than any other, they are just everywhere. Fight nights and conventions will bump hotel prices. I have never seen vegas be anything other than vegas. It is the safest place on earth. Drunken stupors only happen for the ultra club crowd and the clubs don't even open until midnight long after bedtime for most. However, 3am makes for some fun people watching.
March is a busy month in Las Vegas:

NASCAR - weekend 3/10 - 3/12 and activity pretty much the whole week.
Saint Patrick's Day - 3/17 (Friday)
March Madness - first two rounds 3/16-3/19. Second two rounds the next weekend.

Room prices will be high.

You don't need to be in the ultra club crowd to enjoy/suffer a drunken stupor. Trust me on this one.
