Yes, and truthfully, my parents planned (more like schemed) a family vacation during most of those break times.

Good vacations, mostly, but I SO yearned to go with the crowd for the drinking and debauchery.

Nope, nothing doing young lady.

Now, I thank my parents for not turning me loose before at least some brain cells had matured.

I did enough of it once I got out on my own.
Sometimes it didn't seem to be as thrilling as I had imagined it would be.
Especially when "open bar" was a factor!

The grand juries said there was not enough evidence to indict.

Poor old DonDiego had thought he was encouraging unity to oppose shooting of innocents of any race, including one not his own.
His thread questioned the lack of interest in and opposition to the shooting of innocents on Spring Break. Where is the outrage?

Nonetheless, pjstroh is correct; poor old DonDiego had not initiated a thread about this incident, especially a decisive race thread.
And DonDiego had not planned to write one, . . . because DonDiego was unaware of this incident, . . . but he is unlikely to have begun a thread about it anyway, especially a decisive race thread, until he had some more facts.

__Perhaps the reason DonDiego hadn't learned of the incident is because Lexington, Oklahoma is not close to poor old DonDiego's home. It is not even near Appalachia.

I believe it's because statistically speaking, white on white murders pale in comparison to black on black murders. I think everyone can agree that there's a real problem with blacks killing each other, look at the likes of cities like Chicago.
