The State Department is Trying, . . .

. . . Very Trying.

An outfit called The International Business Times has reported that it had filed a Freedom of Information Act request to the State Department for Hillary Clinton’s emails concerning the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The State department had responded they would provide the information by April 2016.

As is not uncommon in this Administration, the State Department failed to do so.
On 31 May 2016 the State Department updated the estimated delivery date for the emails stating they would be available on 31 November 2016. (Ref: MUCKROCK)

Coincidentally this delivery date is after the 2016 Presidential Election. But that doesn't matter.

DonDiego predicts with absolute certainty that the FOIA information request will not be fulfilled on 31 November 2016.

And so it goes, . . .
This is getting tedious. I'm starting to miss the whole Benghazi "stand down" urban legend.

Probably about the same time Trump releases his tax returns....and the verdict comes in against Trump University.

In the meantime I'm sure we can expect a new conspiracy theory against Hillary to manifest. That only makes sense considering email-gate and Benghazi have officially flopped.
With a name like DonDiego, is it possible he's Mexican. We all know that Mexicans can't be fair and balanced.
DT tells us so, and we know he speaks the truth.

To fare unsuccessfully
Trust that lyin’ sack named Hillary
How do I know?
The Donald tells me so

I'm not holding my breath for the day when a lefty here will ask why the government doesn't comply with a pretty simple request. What is there to hide?

This woman has lied from the moment she learned how to stand up, and she hasn't stopped lying since. And if some here have their way, Liarry will become President of this great land.

OK, now here is where PJ jumps in to say I'll be voting Trump no matter what he does......Immaterial, but that is all he has. And he doesn't know that, he can only suspect it. But there are other alternatives if one is willing to look. So find another tack PJ.
Perhaps Fritz can tell us exactly what Hillary is lying about in DonDiego's oh-so-suspicious link. Hillary has been a civilian since 2012 and has no authority of any kind over State Department FOI requests. So - I guess we are to believe that there is some super secret conspiracy whereby she is still pulling strings behind the scenes. And the evidence for that is ?....the same amount of evidence we have for Obama's African birth certificate.

Its okay. America is presenting a candidate for people who engage in such fairy tales. And yes, fritz, you will be pulling the lever for him in November. I think its great you have a candidate that shares your honest values..

Here's the main issue, . . . and a detail apparently gone unnoticed in DonDiego's original post.

Main Issue
"Trade is a hot issue in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. But correspondence from Hillary Clinton and her top State Department aides about a controversial 12-nation trade deal will not be available for public review — at least not until after the election. The Obama administration abruptly blocked the release of Clinton’s State Department correspondence about the so-called Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), after first saying it expected to produce the emails this spring.
The decision came in response to International Business Times' open records request for correspondence between Clinton’s State Department office and the United States Trade Representative. The request, which was submitted in July 2015, specifically asked for all such correspondence that made reference to the TPP.
The State Department originally said it estimated the request would be completed by April 2016. Last week the agency said it had completed the search process for the correspondence but also said it was delaying the completion of the request until late November 2016 — weeks after the presidential election. The delay was issued in the same week the Obama administration filed a court motion to try to kill a lawsuit aimed at forcing the federal government to more quickly comply with open records requests for Clinton-era State Department documents.
Clinton’s shifting positions on the TPP have been a source of controversy during the campaign: She repeatedly promoted the deal as secretary of state but then in 2015 said, "I did not work on TPP," even though some leaked State Department cables show that her agency was involved in diplomatic discussions about the pact. Under pressure from her Democratic primary opponent, Bernie Sanders, Clinton announced in October that she now opposes the deal — and has disputed that she ever fully backed it in the first place."

A Detail Gone Unnoticed
The State Department said they would answer the FOIA on 31 November 2016. 31 November does not exist. The State Department is so incompetent it cannot read a calendar.

So the problem is the State Department is preventing anyone from reading Hillary's correspondence on the TPP issue. No one is permitted to know what she wrote. No one is permitted to know if she stood firm on a position or changed it, or why, . . . either during the negotiations or after. Or if all the subject correspondence vanished in the Great Sorting of the E-mails by The Hillary and her cronies before turning them over to the State Department.
To address pjstroh's question: No one knows if she lied, . . . although DonDiego would lay odds on it.

Maybe they should have just gone with the State Department estimate for how long it will take to turn over e-mails to 3 of her top aids:

"The State Department said in a court filing that it would take about 75 years for it to release all the emails to three of Clinton's former aides: Cheryl Mills, Jacob Sullivan and Patrick Kennedy."

Somehow I think this violates the spirit of the Freedom of Information Act. What benefit is 'information' if it won't be ready for a couple of generations? Cool tactic for such a transparent administration.

The Department of State is, indeed, very trying.
Tedious and trying.
