State's rights?

What about Hermaphrodites (Intersex)? Where do they go to the bathroom in all of this?

Advocates for the potty police say it is a matter if common sense, but I say it makes no sense whatsoever. Does the so called party of small government really want to post police officers at every public restroom door in America and make people present their long form birth certificate for examination prior to being admitted to the restroom?

Restrooms are one thing. They have stalls with doors mostly. No one has to be exposed to your genitals. This is the first I've heard of biological men allowed to share locker rooms and showers with women. I guess I'm willing to give it a try in the interest of gender relations. So, can I just go down to the local YWCA and shower up now....or is there some paper work to fill out?

No paperwork required.

Up until The Obama's Proclamation sex was determined by biological attributes, . . . things like X-and-Y chromosomes and "pee-pees" vs "tee-tees".

One can now select one's gender; a simple declaration of what one thinks oneself to be is sufficient. Apparently, f'rinstance, a 17-year-old guy may declare himself a "female" before, during, or after he enters the locker room being occupied by the 14-year-old girls' field hockey team. That is if anyone has the bad manners to question him at all.

And, so far as poor old stick-in-the-mud DonDiego can determine, one may be a "male" on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and a "female" on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, . . . and a "bi-sexual" on f'rinstance Sunday, . . . or any combination of months, weeks, days, hours one chooses, . . . presumedly at one's own convenience.

Oh, and some of the school districts around the country, f'rinstance Chicago [DUH !], require teachers to apply the pronoun which the student prefers, . . . such as "zie", "sie", "ey", "ve" or whatever else is chosen. DonDiego supposes his intent to apply the pronoun "yecccch" will not satisfy the Proclamation.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg's observation that any objection to the equal-rights-for-women legislation of the 1970s on the basis that it would lead to males being allowed to use women’s restrooms was “emphatically” unsound has been overruled by The Obama. Males (or whomever chooses), may use women's (or anyone else's) restrooms, locker rooms, etc., etc., etc.
That's the last time poor old DonDiego will believe Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

Well I do have a little headache and have been feeling irritable. Could I be having a gender identity crisis today?

Perhaps it is just that time of the month for alanleroyII.

Students at Seattle University cannot identify the difference between a man and a woman: College Kids Say the Darndest Things

Well, . . . when young DonDiego was matriculating he knew the difference between men and women, not that it did him any good. What is to become of the present generation of young adults ? Are they all so indifferent to reality ? Will they fall for anything ?
I want the right to pee outside, death to all liberals whom will not let me. I want to pee anywhere, anytime! If you can pee in either bathroom what the hell is the difference, what could be more natural than public urination! hmmmmmmm

DonDiego opines all MIKEY7777 is required to do is declare himself a "bucolic tinkler", . . . and all the outdoors is his urinatorium.

DonDiego suggests MIKEY7777 challenge his friends to a long-distance contest at every opportunity.

"Separate places to disrobe, sleep, perform personal bodily functions are permitted, in some situations required, by regard for individual privacy. Individual privacy, a right of constitutional dimension, is appropriately harmonized with the equality principle."
__ Professor Ruth Bader Ginsberg, 7 April 1975 in The Washington Post

And that principle still holds true in every public restroom/locker room in the country. Its just an issue of how one is identified as a "male" or "female". Evangelicals disagree with the consensus of modern scientists (aren't you shocked?) and use a different metric for this judgement.

So its really a case of what mechanism our public schools use to identify students' genders: the one offered up by scientists? Or the one offered up by people who teach dinosaurs walked the earth with humans?

I think the administration has got it right. And I'm confident history will bare that out.

No way it's only "evangelicals" as you put it, it's all the rest of the sane peoole in this country who still have a little common sense. Someone either has a penis or they don't no matter what they say. Same as someone can't be born white then proclaim they're entire adult life they're black, no matter what they say.

There's more and more common sense flying out the window every single day in this country.
