So, can I just go down to the local YWCA and shower up now....or is there some paper work to fill out?
No paperwork required.
Up until The Obama's Proclamation sex was determined by biological attributes, . . . things like X-and-Y chromosomes and "pee-pees" vs "tee-tees".
One can now select one's gender; a simple declaration of what one thinks oneself to be is sufficient. Apparently, f'rinstance, a 17-year-old guy may declare himself a "female" before, during, or after he enters the locker room being occupied by the 14-year-old girls' field hockey team. That is if anyone has the bad manners to question him at all.
And, so far as poor old stick-in-the-mud DonDiego can determine, one may be a "male" on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and a "female" on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, . . . and a "bi-sexual" on f'rinstance Sunday, . . . or any combination of months, weeks, days, hours one chooses, . . . presumedly at one's own convenience.
Oh, and some of the school districts around the country, f'rinstance Chicago [DUH !], require teachers to apply the pronoun which the student prefers, . . . such as "zie", "sie", "ey", "ve" or whatever else is chosen. DonDiego supposes his intent to apply the pronoun "yecccch" will not satisfy the Proclamation.
Ruth Bader Ginsberg's observation that any objection to the equal-rights-for-women legislation of the 1970s on the basis that it would lead to males being allowed to use women’s restrooms was “emphatically” unsound has been overruled by The Obama. Males (or whomever chooses), may use women's (or anyone else's) restrooms, locker rooms, etc., etc., etc.
That's the last time poor old DonDiego will believe Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
