Stations "biggest secret ever" promo?

So what was the Stations biggest secret ever promo "meeting"? They did two things wrong with this promo? Don't call people to a meeting. No one wants to go to work. And secondly, why didn't they put the times on the card...the whole call us to find out when and where thing was stupid...hello, we have calendars and I am not going to wake up at 8am to come to a secret meeting at Stations casino. Really.

Take it from Primm (the best promo team hands down). Just throw a Surprise Party and tell me when to be there. You mailed me a mailer, you know who I am, you know what section of party to put me in. And it is football season, my weekend is jam packed.

And third of all (I did that on purpose, my husband laughs at my numbering my thoughts), I am pretty sure that the meeting is the FINALLY merging of cards and accounts. The lady at Barley's told us that was going to be happening soon last week in a random conversation.
Really, no replies at all. Am I the only local left on here? And yes, it was the merging. I had a friend who announced "I got roped into the dumbest thing ever". I laughed because I didn't take the bait. And yes, she said they had cookies and a soda on a table and printed a new merged card for you...woo hoo, way to throw a party Stations...and as I mentioned at 8 am to boot. I told them their promo was stupid when I called to ask when and where, although I pretty much wasn't going to begin with.

My question, although it seems I am talking to myself...I get mailers from all 3 property brands...so now I am going to get even less in comps and coupons from Stations. Barleys gave the best mailer of them all with the redeem two, all others doubled. Oddly, Fiesta has done this the last two months. So yes, celebrate getting even less customers! Way to hype up nothing and a waste of postage because we ended up with 6 invitations.

Do we have to merge accounts, I am going to wait until after the first of the month and see what type of mailers come.
Mailers will not change. You will still get mailers from all 3 brands, if you play at all of them. If you choose not to merge your accounts, you will not move up in tier level as quickly and will not be able to use your card at all 18 properties. The meeting/party was not just cookies and a new card. The new system was explained. There was no time listed on the mailer because you could call and pretty much pick what time would be convenient for you. Your attitude sucks, by the way.

I've been out of town for the last few days, but the people I talked to who went to the parties were very happy to have their accounts merged easily and quickly at the party, so they didn't have to stand in line at the rewards center. Just by merging her accounts, one of them automatically moved up from Platinum to President level, which is good until 6/30/12.
Speaking for myself, if I was an employee of a company that is criticized by a disgruntled customer, I don't think it would be sage to tell the customer that their "attitude sucks". Whether justified or not, customers who vent are still entitled to be dealt with respect - as all of us would like to be treated.

You troll around looking for faults to point out... Sue is standing up for her company. She thought about it/ she said her piece.
Go yell at the neighborhood kids now Mr. Wilson you old crabby-pants-apotamus.
Actually Sue, I know you work at Aliante and appreciate your info on here, which is why I knew I could get the answers. I am assuming you may be being short with me because I always think Stations makes the worst PR moves....and I do. My statements are the same as always. To me and an acquaintance that volunteered her opinion without any prompting from anyone in a room of 20 people, we thought it was a stupid campaign.

I get the worst comps, worst mailers and completely inconsistent payouts. Just my opinion, no matter how much "Stations loves locals". I really cannot pinpoint what it is that Stations does the I find so irritable, but really even when I have a few decent interactions, my "sucky" attitude about Stations lingers. Kinda like a Walmart attitude. They just can't seem to shake their reputation. I do and have noted that they tried, but a reputation is just that...a lingering feeling about someone or something. Honestly, I was really mistreated greatly when I first moved here by two employees and some corporate slogans are probably never going to change that. But I really do honestly, get the worst perks from Stations of my large stack of mailers each month, especially given that they were and still, not very often, do get the majority of my play...by a lot.

But honestly, the 6 pieces of "shady, call to find out this great deal" seemed just that... a scammy piece of junk mail. It set up the negative vibe for itself. A come find out about our exciting new rewards program and have a piece of cake may have made me pop in.

I will say that I have always thought you usually seem way more efficient and personable than the desk clerks we have over here, so I will chalk up the "sucky attitude" to a difference of opinion I think I have always secretly held out hope that perhaps you were giving corporate a talking to with the info on here. As I have always said, repeat customers are very different from vacationers.
I got the impression that you did not go to one of the parties. Instead, you dismissed the program without knowing how it would benefit you. That's what set me off, I guess. You certainly have the right to your opinions of Stations, so it's probably best that you've been playing elsewhere, which would explain your better mailers from other casinos. We had excellent turnouts at the parties, by the way, so most locals did not consider the postcard to be "junk mail."

Maybe you should come in, merge your accounts, get your new card, and see what happens if you play.

BTW -- I thought I was on drmilled's famous ignore list. Guess not ...
