Stations Take Proactive Approach

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Next time stop by the rewards center and say hi if I'm working.
A return to what made Stations, Stations! As to the comments about apples and oranges, customer service is customer service. You forget to add that the reason Addilson still has a bundle is Macao. Without that, he's is the spot as most others. Especially in this day and age, service is going to bring back a loyal crowd.

Good Luck!
Ric at Joes
Exactly, Ric. Making our guests feel welcomed every time they come in is what we do. If they don't feel it, they won't be back, no matter how good the gaming and food are.

"Love" is the theme right now at Stations. Valentine's month was the perfect time to inaugurate this new program. The new TV commercials use the Beatles song "All You Need Is Love." The machine-topper signs throughout the casino each concentrate on one "Act of Love." For example -- "Act of Love #19 -- We've Loosened Our Slots." "Act of Love #5 -- Chicken Parmesan $9.99." Etc., etc.

So why is it then that I wait for hours to get a drink at Red Rock. No waitress to be found anywhere. Then I go the bar and it costs me ten bucks for a beer and a cocktail.

You can say that again. I find rooms on line for $20 a night then get socked $15 a night resort fee???? I'll stay at Harrah's and play at Stations.

At Palace Station, for some dates, the Resort Fee is higher than the room rate itself!
Nice post, Sue. Thanks for slumming with the freaks.
Service doesn't rise and fall with the tide. It's built into the culture and is consistent. Stations giving away cars and money is not +EV. The people with the greatest chance of winning are the ones playing the 90% and less payback slots who are dumping their life savings into the machines to try and win a car. I don't consider comps service. People have paid for those comps several times over with their -EV. Service is things like friendly employees, prompt attention to customers' needs, and delivering more than is expected. Great service doesn't exist in Las Vegas except at the high end and people are paying through the nose for it. Stations is taking a shot in the dark right now like a lot of casinos. Hard Rock is flailing with no direction. Great service has never been built into the culture at Stations. If business doesn't take off like they're hoping, they'll start cutting employees left and right.
Every department at every property is "staffing up." They were all previously understaffed due to layoffs caused by the bankruptcy, etc. I just got home from work, where we had 5 reps working at the same time in the rewards center, plus 2 new ones being trained. There are more cocktail servers on the floor, so the problem reported by THLF should be resolved. And something new has been added -- greeters at every entrance to thank people for visiting, answer questions, etc. There's also a new red "welcome mat" at every door, lol.

BTW -- we were VERY busy all day today. On a Monday!

Thanks, Bard.
I was good with just the free room.

I like the Station Casinos. I was sitting at a dollar machine at the Red Rock several years back when my machine froze up and some guy walked over and handed me 2100.00 in crisp hundred dollar bills .......... just sitting there and playing slots. It was awesome !
