Stations Take Proactive Approach

Rizzo, what happened to me was also a personal issue, although I suppose it could happen to someone else, which is really what angers me more. I am sure that it has because no one seemed to really care or think it was as wrong as I think it is. Actually I am really not sure that the issue was really resolved and is not currently an issue for me or to others.
What I see here ,in spite of the new approach by Stations reaching out the consensus is the locals are not willing to forgive and forget . I would probaly be the same . especially when there are so many other casinos to choose from.
I live in Boston when I get upset with an Indian casino in Conn. it is either one or the other . Not much to choose .
I know my friends moved to Green Valley in '98 and spent a most of their casino time at Sunset St and Barley's the first couple of years. They still go to Barleys to eat, but they moved onto Silverton, Southpoint and now the M. They spent sometime at GVR when it opened and still go by there once in a while as it's five minutes from the house. I once asked Bob why they don't go to Sunset or GVR more often. He couldn't really nail it down. He said it was just a matter of feeling more comfortable elsewhere. He just felt more employee-customer interaction at the other casinos.

Good Luck!

Sue , I have to admit Boyd gaming has been good to me the past 5 years . I have the BConnected Card and every year I go to Vegas for one week. I visit The Orleans maybe 2 days spend about
600 bucks and I end up with 2 comped nights offered based on that play. I will be using the rooms this year.

I will visit Alliante because I enjoy seeing all the Casinos I can . The tier system you discussed doesn't seem to benefit the short timer like me.

I know the system can be confusing. You need to earn the required number of points to achieve a tier level during a 3-month period, but once you've achieved it, it's good for 6 months before you get dropped down.

Louis,

I agree with You. The Boyd casino's treat me well also and I always get plenty of offers. Plus I seem win more at their casino's. I like the downtown casino's but I think I like the Orleans and Gold Coast probably the best. Sam's Town is okay. My luck is hit or miss there. I have only been to Palace and Boulder Station maybe four or five times and never had much luck. I have also visit Green Valley Ranch once but did not feel a good vibe there so I did not stay long.

Sue if you do not mind me asking where do you like to play? I figure that you locals know best where to play since you live there.

If you do not want to answer I understand.

I do know that When I am town next week I have to visit the Rio for sure.

I play mostly at the Cannery. I have one of the jobs where you are not allowed to play at any Station or Fiesta using a card. Before that happened (a little over a year ago), I played a lot at Aliante. The highlight was in August of 2009 when I hit 3 royals in the space of 3 weeks, lol.
I havent been to the Cannery but have been to the Eastside one though. Maybe one of these days I will rent a car and check them out.
Walt and I do not go to Station Casinos as much as we used to, and this is mainly due to the lack of customer service. We were mostly Palace Station people as that is our local place. We usually played video poker on all levels and Walt likes to drink Chivas. A few years back (maybe 4 years ago), they stopped serving Chivas even at the bar playing max coin in. We also noticed on the floor that it just started getting more and more difficult to get service at all. Then we started noticing the machines were getting worse - some video pokers we liked were taken out and the machines we liked were just gone - to be replaced by slots or "theme" machines. Without good drink service, we also started noticing how much we were losing, how much the smoke bothered us, and started going there less and less. Then we started not going to the buffet as much. We go for the horse book as Walt plays the twin Q, but that has been the only attraction lately.
Hi Sue

Have wanted to see the Alante for long time how far is it from the strip I don't drive anymore TY

I agree lasyt year i visited the Palace with my brother and a friend. We were there less than an hour and the friend said he had to get out there because of the smoke. I agreed with him it was pretty bad.
