Stock Markets Worldwide Look a Mite Weak

As poor old DonDiego types, it's Monday morning west of the International Date Line, and investments there are falling rather dramatically:

Australia -3.58%
Shanghai -7.92%
Hong Kong -3.91%
India -0.88%
Japan -3.21%
Taiwan -6.35%

And the NYSE Futures Index indicate the DOW may drop 3% or so at the open tomorrow [today in the Orient].

As Bette Davis once remarked: “Fasten your seatbelts. It’s going to be a bumpy night.”
Time to go shopping and put some dry powder to work.

STON - Stonemor Partners. They run North America cemeteries and funeral homes. They're being taken to the woodshed with everything else over CHINA Fears. I cant think of any company that is more immune to China...and dead people don't care what the markets are doing. Its now yielding over 10%

Poor old DonDiego was not sufficiently pessimistic.

The DOW fell 6% out of the gate; if it were to fall 7% trading would be halted.
Time to buy. What to buy?

DonDiego supposes there may soon be a demand for soup tureens.

Someone bought Apple at $92 earlier this morning; it is now $104 !
I'm looking for a solid bottom before buying, and I don't see any sign of that yet.

YIKES! I didn't turn on anything til 12:300, missed the whole ride this morning. Looks like DD had made the correct call on pulling out. Oil briefly broke 38 as well, that's whats killing me but as long as the dividends keep flowing(and oil co.s are, hopefully, absolute stalwarts about keeping their divvys going, the big guys anyway), I just keep telling myself that I'm collecting cheap shares since I automatically have all my dividends reinvest. Fifteen yrs from now this will be a pleasant memory, hopefully again .

I have a bit of cash I've never done anything with, but I'm gonna wait for the moment, I think the ride isn't over yet.

I think this was way overdue, the market just kept going up and up, much too hot. I thought for sure 16K was a top, but nooo. Then 17, and I thought for certain 18K. I think low 16ishK will be a bottom, maybe high 15ishK. I'll start buying then. I base this on absolutely nothing but my gut, and it's usually wrong.
Suddenly that 4% fixed I am getting doesn't look all that bad.
