First off...I am not the competitor..,
I already know that I am never going to have the "most royals" in any given year...there are far too many people with more money, that play more often, than I do.
There might be something you are missing...and that is that most of us on the RF thread are FRIENDS...something you probably aren't familiar with having any of.
Dan, Barb, and myself meet for dinner and talk all the time. The "friendly banter" that goes on in that thread, is exactly that...friendly banter. No one is insulted or taking this too serious.
You are looking far too deep into that thread, if intense competition is what YOU came up with from reading that thread.
Secondly...I NEVER said that hitting more royals makes me a better gambler. I play for fun, not for business, nor to try to make a living from it.
There is no such thing as being a better gambler....its all about LUCK. You can be a smarter gambler and play the better games when available versus the shitty pay scales when better ones exist nearby, but apart from that you can't say some one is a better gambler then another.
You either have deep pockets to keep playing and hopefully get lucky and get some of that back, or you can win with small amounts like I do. Either way its about luck! But even some one with deep pockets can lose it all and be ruined, if they never catch that win streak before the money runs out.
Regarding your suggestion....
I want to know, what you are actually expecting people to provide for you.
Will you just take a "Hey I made +$50K gambling last year" or a "I just broke even for the year"
Will you require proof from Tax forms, or will you need complete win/loss data forms from all the casinos we've played at ?
Do you realize how stupid that is yet? Probably not.
Either way...if you start the thread, and are willing to keep track of everyones yearly wins and losses...put me down as breaking even for this year. LOL
Meanwhile....I will keep having fun while gambling, as well as having fun with my friends on the royals thread, and you keep worrying about how much people win or lose for the year, shadow cards, how arcimedes fills out his tax forms, or how fast a guy can play on two triple play VP machines.
