Vegas Free-for-All - Stopping at the quick mart, convenience store,etc...

Most of us do this as opposed to going to the real store. I know I am going to pay a bit more and go in knowing it. What I didn't realize was they have name brand items in smaller packages but the items in the packages are smaller. I just bought a Charmin 4 roll and the center cardboard tube is wider than the ones from the real store.
That just isn't right.

What pisses you off about these stores?

Nothing.They are convenience stores and you pay for the convenience of getting out quicker than the big box stores.

The phony cash register sounds at Wawa. They are worse than the phony coins falling sounds in slot machines when you cash out.

On a positive note, I might never have tried "a new twist on a treat that has been keeping American’s smiling for more than 80 years" had it not been for my local Quickie Video Liquor. The "Limited Edition Chocolate Crème Twinkie" premiered in February 2012 (Just in time for Valentines Day). Unfortunately, Mrs. AlanLeroy rejected the Chocolate Creme Twinkie as a valid token of my love.

After More Than 80 Years Hostess Adds New Twinkies Flavor

They also have a smaller version than standard of the Hostess Cupcake for $1.59. I think they get a 20 pack and price them individually.

A Twinkie just won't cut it on Valentine's Day. Next time try a Swiffer.

It was a 'limited edition'....could be some still on the shelves though. I should have bought more for my 'prepper stash'. I imagine they will keep for several years.
