I have no idea if the convenience store sells milk for less; seems logical as a loss-leader given all coin they make off gas and the shit foods they sell. My guess is they don't carry the kind we drink, however.

C'mon ken. Try shopping (in ascending order) or just going to choice #3 (for instance).
Life's too short to do everything the same way. Live, damn it!
Many of those dollar stores (Freds, Dollar General, Family Dollar) stores now carry milk very cheap (look out Wal-mart)

I'll try new meds!!
I suppose since i don't smoke anymore, i haven't been in aur 7-11 in years. The grocery store is actually closer for us to get to. I do,however,go there to fill up the gas tanks i our cars but pay at the pump. Its also the closest place to gas up. We're really fortunate where we live, its semi-rural with all houses surrounded by mature trees with no houses close to each other, yet the both stores are only 5 minutes away.

My closest grocery store is 15 mins. no traffic, up to 30 with. The conv. store is 2 mins. away.
I have a local liquor store two blocks away and they changed ownership about 2 years ago. Ever since they took over, they've lowered prices on almost everything, and a lot of items are the same or less expensive than the Food 4 Less about a half mile away. Cigarettes are much cheaper than almost anyone in the area. I was shocked to see that tuna fish, and I don't mean chunk light, was less expensive than the supermarket. They are even the same on many liquor items unless the supermarket has them on sale for the week. Their dairy products are also competitive with the chain stores.

The best part is, that if I forget anything after I get home and have already changed into my "bedtime attire"...joggers, sweatshirt and insulated socks...I can just get into the car and go into the store dressed as I am, and be in and out in less than a minute.
Everyone is missing my point. I know they may charge more for certain items.
I'm talking about smaller packaged items that seem to be made for conv. stores.
Not a big deal, just wondered why nobody caught on.
i dont think its that people didnt "catch on". i just dont think anyone posting in here has had that experience.

wasn't the question posed in your OP "what pisses you off about these places?" I just took it as a question. and answered it. Didn't realize there was something to catch on to.

Much ado about nothing, indeed.
