Strangers trusted with cash while gambling

Sometimes it's the people who aren't strangers you have to worry about!
This was back before or at the very beginning of TITO:
Sitting by a machine in Harrah's while the wife used the ladies room, two couples stroll by. The 2 ladies and one of the men go to use the restroom. The guy going in hands his bucket FULL of dollar tokens to the other guy who was to wait outside. You guessed it! The guy outside waiting does a quick look around, grabs several tokens and puts them in his pocket! What an asshole! When the wife returns, I tell her what I saw and wanted to wait for the other guy to come out to tell him what his "friend" did. Waited about a minute and the wife lost patience so we walked. I just wanted to expose the guy for the piece of shit he was.

I left $278.00 in a STP machine w/ my card in to use the potty-- the guy next to me had gotten a Royal on .50 cents w/ a 3X for 6K so i wasn't worried.. well, I was a little but it was all there when i came back. We had been chatting and playing side by side for 2 hours or so.
But Yes...I was thrilled when it was still there. I don't normally do that.
