Strat. Happy Hour Level 107 Lounge

Has anyone been there for this? I would love to go up there, have a few drinks and some appetizers, maybe make a dinner out of it. Are their 2 for 1 martinis limited to their specialty drinks on the menu? Any appetizers you recommend?

I assume this lounge used to be called the Romance Lounge about 5 years ago. It sits in the middle of the revolving restaurant about 1/2 a floor above the restaurant. The lounge does not revolve which was just fine with me. It's a very nice place. Never been there for happy hour but when I was there 5 years ago the drink prices were as expected. Nothing cheap but not exorbitant either. It is just hard to me to justify going there now that the Sahara is closed. The walk from Strat to Circus Circus doesn't thrill me, a taxi defeats the happy hour savings and I don't want a DUI so I don't drive in Vegas.
how do you get there from the casino? do you have to pay to get there?
You have to walk to the big elevator that goes to the top. No fee. The sign says like a 2 drink minimum but it's not like they'll chase after you if you suddenly feel ill and don't drink the minimum.

The wife and I went there the week before Christmas 2010 during our stay in Vegas and totally enjoyed it. It was a Sunday evening and I timed our reservation to get there about 30 minutes before the sun went down so we could see the city lights come on as Vegas fell into darkness. It was perfect timing.

This was a postponement of our 9 year anniversary, drinks and appetizers at Level 107 and then Dinner at the Top of the World Restaurant which the wife just loved..

Level 107 doesn't rotate and we were allowed to pick any seat we wanted since they weren't super busy. Drinks were reasonably priced and great. We couldn't ask for better service. Calamari we had was also very good. Wife had a couple of their specialty drinks and I had a 7 & 7 and a specialty drink.

We moved into the rotating restaurant for Dinner. Food was really good. I had the wine flight that went with dinner and liked all of them but one (personal taste). Price for dinner and wine was expensive but what we were expecting. The night with tip was about $280 for two if I count drinks, appetizer, tip, dinner, wine and tip. Oh, and pictures from a roving photographer. Wife had to have photos for the evening and that was about $30-$40 more.

Go on line and look over the menu for Top of the World and the Lounge 107. Top of the world

We would go back......

Word to the wise! Watch for people passing by the window as they jump off the level above. The new 800ft drop ride to the ground!!!!!

Picture of us with the city lights behind....as we rotated around about 1.5 revolutions...or more during our stay. I think 1 revolution takes 80 minutes.

Thank you dclinton, for that lovely report. I'm convinced, we'll be heading that way on our next trip.
