Stratosphere Could Get Its Own Grand Canyon-Style Skywalk

Add this to the list of "Things I will never do!" lol

Stratosphere Could Get Its Own Grand Canyon-Style Skywalk
I'm on that list as well.
I've never felt the fear of death more than when I went on the "big shot".
I turned white as a ghost. Never again. Too scary.
I was too heavy for the big shot, but the roller coaster was lame.
Nope, uh-uh,NOOO...WAY

My wife also says no way, but I think I’d like to go out there and have a drink. In deference to the tourists below, I’d be very careful not to spill a drop.

And I promise that I wouldn’t pee over the railing. Unless it was an emergency.

It could be interesting, depending on how far out from the building it goes and how much it costs. I have zero fear of heights.

I'd do the Skyjump if it was cheaper, or if they made it an actual free-fall instead of a controlled free-fall...but to do that, they'd have to change it into an actual bungee jump. Bungee cords stretch and break, and they need to be replaced on a regular basis. I had one of the cords break during one of my hot air balloon bungee jumps. They used a 4-cord bundle for jumpers weighing less than 200 pounds and a 5-cord bundle for jumpers weighing between 200 and 250 pounds, and that was for a 220-foot free-fall. 800-feet would be too expensive to maintain...
Ghost Bar has the glass patio. I think that's 51 floors high. Not all that different.

I didn't know the Big Shot has a weight restriction, I do know they have a height restriction of 48"s so how tall are you? lol

Yeah, the roller coaster was very lame.

While I haven't been there in many years, I have been there many times. The whole patio wasn't glass, but there was one glass section (big enough for a body to fall through) that looked down at the ground. They had to assign an employee there to make sure people didn't jump up and down on it. I don't know what people are thinking when they do that? While I wouldn't expect the glass to break, why would they ever jump on it?

I get trying to one up. But thought the bungee jumpers in front of the fine dining was a tasteless ( haha, an unintentional word choice. We all need some laughs these days). Anyhow. I thought that was not good for the restaurant but I am sure it Barely stays open and most cities have a rotating steakhouse.

As for similar concepts. The zipline at the rio does not look safe at all. But being a roller coaster girl and understanding insurance and thus far no casualties, it must be far safer than it looks. I had free tickets and didn't do it and am not afraid.

As for the strat, 13 years ago to be exact when we moved here my husband did the rides atop the strat and the worker didn't do his lap bar so he held on for dear life. So we also don't take anyone there.

I don't think the two compare. There is nothing to look down to at the strat. It would be a money failure.
