Stratosphere promotion email

Got this too.
Only reason I set foot in the strat is for the daily poker tourneys.

The last time I stayed at the Strat was because I got fooled by Price Line.

I got both. I'm curious about what next week's email will offer.

Half a room?

Just got my e-mail offer from the Strat - nothing special, buy one night ,while paying the ripoff "resort" fee, and get one free night without having to pay the ripoff "resort" fee. Much ado about nothing. Thanks, but no thanks.

A free night with no resort fee is a good deal. In fact it's exactly what I suggested above. At least at the Stratosphere the resort fee covers unlimited tower admission.

If you just want to go up the elevator to the top of the tower, just tell them you are going to the lounge - there will be no charge.

Right. Maybe I want to go to the top of the tower at 10:00 AM. Is the lounge open then? Regardless...Their rate for most of the free room period is $39. Plus the $25 Rip off Resort Fee. So $65 for two nights. 32.50 a night...including resort fee. Where else are you going to stay for that? Maybe 4 Queens. It's not a bad deal....Just like the LVA Plaza BOGO deal last year....Which I took advantage of too.

Actually Alan, some of the rooms are discounted at $19/ night plus the ripoff "resort ($24.95) fee. Therefore one could get two nights for $43.95 + taxes. Since all of my rooms are comped with NO ripoff "resort" fees, I have no use for this off strip offer.
