Strip View and off Strip

Mr B and I do not have "comps" or a huge bankroll for rooms, but I was wondering who has a good strip view at a decent price? Also does the $20.00 trick work? What if I offer a bit more?

I have a friend that looked into Flamingo and IP Lynn. She does not have a big bankroll either. She said they had very good deals. Strip view is always more $$. Some places the $20.00 trick still works.

Think about going in Sept. ...Looking at maybe Labor day week.

Although I haven't had anything to do with them since HET took over, Rio might have some cheap rooms and may offer a possibility of improved view for compensation. You could PM Gregrio and ask him if the $20 trick will work there. Greg knows one or two employees, so he does not need to go into it cold as most of us do.

Our favorite off-Strip property is Orleans. It is farther away from the Strip than Rio, and the $20 trick will not work there. However, sometimes you can get a decent Strip view from a high room just by asking.

I found some good pricing at IP and Flamingo online. BK and I stayed at IP in May 2009 when we got married. We don't mind staying at IP. The only thing I do not like about IP is their pool...It Sucks!!! But we love the location and the balconies. We also tried the $20 trick at IP and it worked. We had booked a deluxe room and when we tried it we got a king suite overlooking Harrah's pool for no extra charge.

I'm hoping BK and I will get to Vegas in September.
