Sucker Bets?

the odds are long, but they pay well if you hit. if you stay within your allotted bankroll and are having fun then go for it. I play pai-gow poker with 2 side bets that eat away at your money. one of them is a $1 bet for the progressive. you don't want to live with that regret if you get the big hand and did not play that extra buck!!
Sucker bets are pretty easy to figure. You take a basic game like BJ and add a side bet or craps where middle bets pay long odds, why would casinos offer such bets? I guarantee it's not so they can pay more money out. However,if it's part of your enjoyment of the game and you can afford to, go for it. As was said, casinos have the edge across the boards, just in varying amounts. If you want to avoid losing anything, don' make any bets!

Good Luck!

I haven't been to Vegas in 7 years. I was able to play most of the games back then, but I didn't. The worst one I would play was live keno, I find it relaxing. I would play 1 ticket for $1 a game, a win was great, not winning I couldn't complain. Losing $1 about every 15 minutes, I lost much more in 15 minutes on craps.
i LOOK FOR SUCKER BETS IN THE nfl. This week I see the Giants as a sucker bet laying 2.5 ponts!

"Sucker bets" are the ones that REALLY carry a hefty house edge.
Lot's of them. Be a smart player and have fun with those round things.
It's all gambling. Some odds are better than others. Most of us know those.
However, I will take LUCK over smart bets all day long.
Here's how I play. Get in (to the game), get up (win), get out (take the money and run). Play well, short sharp sessions, and once you're up get out of there.

THAT is how we all should gamble. I'm too fat and lazy to get out of my comfy seat to go the the next cheese-ball joint, usually.
I stay and play at my hotel/casino. It's the LAST place I gamble, that evening. I'll never get stuck on the strip with out at least cab fare/Uber.
Sure, short term is good but gamble it back in? YUP!
If I wanted to make money,I would stay home.
'Vegas sells fun and I'm in. I have hundies to make my fun the best it can be.
Getting bored? Bet more.
Just be a smart gambler. Try to,anyway.
Sucker bets? Sure,sometimes!

good plan if u can stick to it. I would call 'em hit n runs when I used to play BJ a lot. betting $10 a hand, it is usually not too hard to be up $50-$100 in a short session. I would then cash out and go to the next joint and try to repeat it. you kind of have to be a loner and not be distracted, i would work my way up and down the strip or downtown. If you can do that 10 times a day then you are up $500 or more. it did work for me many times when I was more disciplined. but of course as we all know, quitting while your ahead is easier said than done. these days I cant hardly stand BJ. I got tired of losing on 20, tie on 21, dealer making a good hand out of shit, 6-5 and so on. the double-downs and splits are supposed to be your moneymakers, and when that don't play out well it will wipe you out.
I had worked with a guy who himself was the sucker bet. Atlantic City would send him comps, room, food and checks to come on weekends. Sometimes the casino would let him go home with a thousand or two knowing they would get it back the next weekend with extra. He would run up his credit cards. He went to A.C. one Friday and he was $10,+ ahead, I asked him, so you came home a big winner, he said no! I said but you were up all that money, he says how could he leave he had free room and food. So end of story he lost back the money and about $4000. of his own.
