Suite vs Regular Room

If you could choose between getting a suite at a standard Resort (Mirage, Paris, NYNY, etc) or getting a regular room at a swanky resort (Cosmo, Bellagio, Wynn, etc) for the same price which would you choose and why?
I would probably go with a regular room at Cosmo if all six of those listed were the same price.

the only suites I have stayed in in Vegas were in hotels where all the rooms are suites. Palazzo, Venetian, THE Hotel, Vdara
I stayed at the bellagio in a tired room & the overall service was average so I was unimpressed.

I did manage to get upgraded to a small suite at Paris & thought it was very nice.

Stayed at the Wynn & Encore and loved it. The rooms were big, great views thru the floor to ceiling windows. Beds were comfortable, huge luxury bathroom. Overall service throughout the hotel was excellent as the employees try to make everyone feel special.

Also stayed at The Hotel which was also very nice. Rooms & service were excellent. The wife preferred Wynn but I wouldn't turn down a room here.
I'd look at the pictures and decide. But generally I'd go with a suite if it has more room and a better shower.

What are sometimes called "suites" at hotels should be illegal. The grandest suite I ever stayed in was a two bedroom suite on the top floor of the Bellagio, in the middle of the hotel, overlooking the fountains.

The two biggest rip-offs of what were called suites were at the Orleans and the Stratosphere.

The Orleans suite was a small cutout from the normal room with a couch and coffee table. It was no suite. At the Stratosphere, they told me I was upgraded to a suite when I checked in. I was all excited until I opened the door to the room. After overcoming the strong smell of Lysol, the room looked like a normal room. At the end near the window, looked to be a doorway that was open. I went down to the open door and it was no bigger than a midsized walk in closet. Inside of the room was a small couch and table. Again it was no suite.

Many of the rooms today at the newer swankier LV hotels have above average square footage. I'd probably go to the swankier hotel and take the regular room.
I had a room (refuse to call it a suite) at the Rio once that was so small, I have no idea how the check in person called it a suite with a straight face
I once had a suite for my business. It was a post office box at a UPS store.

i once had a luv tub room at the imperial palace and the check-in-ling made this huge fuss about my "suite". its not a suite at ALL. its not even a fake suite like the rio. its just a room with a ginormous tub.
Not all.. but many suites come w/ a jet tub or jacuzzi-- and i enjoy a jacuzzi for my back, legs & feet in Vegas.
I've had a suite (Givincy ) suite at Paris-- liked the room- the space and that tub.
Enjoyed the Luv Tub at IP too-- but I'd take Wynn or Cosmo regular room over them any day.
Bellagio is not as special as Cosmo or Wynn- it's getting old and worn.
Cosmo.
