I recently stayed at Candlewood for the same no comp weekend reason. We were impressed with the full kitchen, full size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, etc. The laundry is complimentary washer, dryer, detergent & fabric softener (take an hour & only need to pack half the clothes). We didn't use it, but it's good to know for future visits.
Re: Laughlin Golden Nugget, I got Sun - Thurs room comp offers a month ago, and I'm mostly a quarter VP player. They also have a good set of quarter DDB Aces & Faces 9/6 with a 100.37% return. It's a bank of 12 older coin drop machines near the Keno & cashier cage. Kind of a kick as they have 1980 graphics like an old Atari game. Took me me back in time 20 years.
