Suncoast

Getting ready for my trip next week and came across a special at the Cantina at the Suncoast.

"Every Wednesday & Thursday 4:30pm-9:30pm

Endless Tacos, Enchiladas and Bottomless Margaritas • $9.99
• Choice of ground beef, shredded beef or chicken tacos
• Choice of cheese or chicken enchiladas with red or green sauce
• Includes flan for dessert."

Anyone have any experience with this? Food any good? Margaritas any good?

Heck $10 for all you can drink Margaritas alone sounds good to me.
I'd appreciate some feedback from anyone that has been there.
Thanks.

Wow, has no eaten there???

OK, can someone just tell me what the place looks like?

It's your typical "Coast" casino only a little less wear and tear than say Gold Coast or the Orleans.
Food & gaming is reasonable. (However, I think the food is better next door at the Rampart).
Decent "cheap" semi-headliner shows in their showroom.
All in all...better than lots.
(Just a hell of a long way out...although there used to be a free "shuttle" to the Orleans / Gold Coast.)
Pearl,
Thanks for your help.
I know it's a long way out but we will be visiting Red Rock during our next visit and wanted to check out SC.
Thought the tacos and drinks might be additional encouragement to check the place out.
Have driven by the place 20 times but never stopped in.
Peace

I've eaten there once and it was fairly nondescript. Nothing memorable but not horrible. If you go on Wednesday and are a 80's rock music fan, stay for the free show put on by Yellow Brick Road. Best free entertainment in L.V. if you like the genre.

Dan
I liked the Suncoast .It is out of the way . Next door is the Rampart casino (small) .
Down the street is the Red Rock .
I like the Suncoast a lot. I enjoy playing VP at the sports bar, where they have relatively good paytables (9/6 DDB, NSUD, 9/6 Bonus Deluxe, and I can't remember what else, lol). Near the sports book is a bagel store/deli with excellent food, including matzo ball soup. In the sports book is the hot dog wagon (75-cent Chicago dogs) -- YUM! They also have an ice cream shop near the front door. I've eaten at both the coffee shop and Salvatores, both of which are quite good.

I'm told the casino looks very much like SouthPoint (which used to be a Coast).
All right!!! 80's hairband crap - LOVE IT!!!

Thanks for the info. I'll do my best to get through my work and run over with my designated driver (wife).
They used to have some really good matchplays which made the trip worthwhile (especially since Rampart had some good matchplays too). Now neither place offers up those kind of promotions...so I haven't been to them in about 2 years.

Like all coast casinos they have the good hot dog cart ...Vienna Beef dogs with kraut for a buck.
pj,
how much more of promotion do you need beyond endless tacos and margaritas for 5 hours?
if i stayed there for 4 nights i could put them under.
