Sunday ticket

I guess directtv and the NFL finally figured out that the sunday ticket price was getting outrageous. I called and cancelled a couple months ago, not in any protest or anything, just figured that with the Steelers recently in the SB and always in the playoffs, they'll get plaenty of airtime this season.

I guess we weren't the only ones, they dropped the price to 200 bucks which I feel is much easier to swallow than the 300+ plus they had it edged up to. I remember when it first came out, it was the whole reason we got directv, I think it was 160 or something like that. Every year it kept creeping up and by last year they would be tacking on 60 bucks to your bill for six months, it added up so we said enough. I just signed back up, i'd spend 200 bucks going out to the local steeler bar to catch the games that wouldn't be on the tube here, so it all worked out. COOL

Everything is negotiable with Direct TV. You want a lot of freebies? Call them and tell them you want to cancel because you can get a better deal from a competitor. They will offer you free movie channels and maybe even a lower rate not to lose you. I have done this and so have all my friends and family.
Cool indeed !

DonDiego finds the ever-growing offerings of his cable-operator more than sufficient to amuse him. Why, heck, . . . there's even a channel devoted to cowboy-movies! But Sundays could be a problem.

He does enjoy watching NFL games every week. And interest in Fantasy Football compels him to see more than just his beloved Eagles.
So teechur and DonDiego have gotten into the habit over the years of spending many Sunday afternoons in nearby Sports Bars ingesting delicious meaty, often fried bar delicacies and copious samples of local and national brewery products. And within the last 18-months, or so, three additional Sports Bars have opened within DonDiego's metropolis.
If teechur and DonDiego are traveling and not at a game, they'll usually spend Sunday afternoons at a Sports Bar wherever they happen to be,.

If he has to watch the games at home DonDiego - being a real man and, therefore, in command of the remote within his own house - will flip channels among CBS, FOX, and the NFL RedZone.

Hey, man. It's all good !
Thanks for getting the priced dropped for the entire nation jatki99. We'll hoist a brew in your honor on opening day.

they dropped it to $200 months ago. But it was my understanding that the $200 price doesn't include Red Zone. And Red Zone is my favorite thing about Sunday ticket. I was debating it this year at the $200 price, but I dunno
Just keep asking them for a discount. They are giving new subscribers FREE NFL Ticket. Tell them you're tired of their high prices and might go to cable which has the Red Zone. I know other people that have bargained with them and got a lower price.
