Super Bowl Weather update

Arlington Texas is where the Super Bowl will be. It is located between Dallas and Fort Worth on the South side of the metroplex.

The weather is still freezing here and will be for two more days. Then it will warm up to 40's Saturday and the 50's for the Super Bowl on Sunday.

The streets are covered with an inch of ice. There is still snow on the ground. We expect to get another 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight. There are still a number of accidents happening when people go too fast and hit the ice.

Traffic on the main roads and highways is moving about 40MPH. In the neighborhoods where ice is still down everyone is creeping along.

Schools are still closed.

Friday update:

We got 3 to 6 inches of snow thursday night. 3 to 6 inches depending on where you are in the metroplex.

The weather prognastigaors are saying it will be above freezing Saturday and Sunday.
Wait two years for when the game is in New Jersey. The weather will be perfect.
Really doesn't matter as the game is indoors. Have a domed stadium!
& those Corporate Fat Cats that're in town can't play golf this weekend.

Heard on the new this AM that just 1% of all available tickets where actually sold to fans, i.e 1100.

Oh, BTW, it'll be 81 degrees here in S Fla this weekend.

Isn't that special, we just get screwed again.
Sitting in dowtown Dallas right now. They say that the expected high will not get above freezing which means that this stuff will not be melting today. We've got about 4 inches on the ground. I know, not much if you're from up north, but the people here don't know how to drive in this stuff.

I'm a Yankee by birth but am deathly afraid of the idiots around me when driving on this stuff. Who floors it to get to 60 and then slams on their brakes when they reach the sheet of ice on the overpasses?

Downtown Dallas was more active last night than earlier in the week, but I'm guessing not a busy as it would have been if the weather was better. Puff Daddy & Deon Sanders had parties a couple of blocks down the street last night. The Wayans brothers had a party two nights ago and were also in the area last night.

Someone in the building has family coming in from PA and they were told they'd be delayed a day or two. She said one day would be fine, but two days is the Super Bowl!
I'm in the Dallas area. We've been out of school for 4 days now. The stadium may be indoors but I don't see how people are going to get there and the idiots that bought those $200 outdoor tickets to watch it on tv in the parking lot. Airports aren't looking good either this morning.
I am pretty sure it is possible to be "corporate people". AND be a fan. I know...crazy talk.
