Super Bowl XLIX Odds

Yeah I was trying to figure out in what world that made sense myself.
That's fine Alan, as long as you can prove that the Patriots physically deflated them and it wasn't due to several other possibilities, ie: 1) the officials charged with checking the psi in the first place never actually did but instead did a quick grasping of the balls and quickly deemed them to be close enough 2) the balls were checked and were 12.5 in the heated room before the game then lost pressure while sitting outside in the colder weather for 2 hours before the game started, 3) a former president of the Jets organization started this craziness as a vendetta against Bill Belichek for leaving his team years ago and vowed to get even by planting a story in the public which has just enough truth for people to convict the Patriots of cheating with no proof whatsoever. That being said, although number 3 has been discussed recently, I honestly suspect it was either 1 or 2, or possibly a combination of the 2. Also, if you think Tom Brady, Payton Manning, Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers couldn't light up the field with a football anywhere between 10 and 15 psi, you don't know football. Back to the original point, unless you have some smoking gun, pictures, videos, personal statements from someone involved, then knock off the cheating talk, it's very unbecoming and demonstrates a weak mind.
Caught cheating? You need a dictionary. The correct term is accused of cheating........and so far, incorrectly.
So with all of the above suggestions on what to do IF cheating is proven......since Happycamper assumes DonDiego would not be so bold as to break stride with the American way of being innocent until proven guilty, and Happycamper suggests that either differences in atmospheric conditions or possibly a slightly lax checking of the balls by officials prior to the game in the first place would be easier to believe, IF the Patriots are guilty, how would DonDiego suggest that the doctoring was done and how? With so many cameras on the field at all times, when could they have tampered with the footballs and done so with 11 of the 12 balls all being checked at the same low level of pressure? All Happycamper can picture is the Asian gentleman from Oceans 11 being inside the ball bag the whole time without being detected due to his diminutive size, popping out at just the right time and concealing a precision pressure deflation gauge to be used in dastardly ways. Or does DonDiego have another suggestion?

Well said, that doesn't sound at all like it was written by a 9 year old. You even addressed the burden of proof before assuming someone is guilty, well done.
IF and only if it is proven that there was tampering involved then absolutely they should lose picks, however, everyone convicting them in the public with no proof whatsoever is painful to watch, it's as if people are too lazy to think anymore, especially with so many other possible ways for the balls to be low on air.
The reason everybody is already convicting the Patriots is due to their past. It is like Suh of the Lions being guilty of purposefully stomping (even though he stepped) on Rodgers. Suh and his past made people quick to judge. The Pats have to live with their past. Kraft wants an apology if no proof is found. Hell, Suh wants an apology then since none of us were in his body and know what he thought as he stepped on Rodgers. Give me a break.

I suspect there are no cameras in the restroom and since that seems to be the place it could have happened then there will be no videos surfacing.

A dozen times on this thread people ask why the officials didnt notice. Why is nobody asking why Brady didn't notice? He could have told the official something seemed wrong like the Colts player did. Maybe his hands were numb (like Suh's feet).

And in related news,
She told me she was 18, I swear.
The cops planted that gun on me.
It was that way when I found it.
I was just holding it for a friend.
It's not you, it's me. (actually, that last one might apply...)
So he brought two large bags that contained 24 footballs inside the restroom with him to take a leak? Right after retrieving the two large bags from the official's locker room a few seconds earlier?

In what universe does that make any sense at all?

More than likely he was slipping a needle in the bag which could be used to deflate the balls inside the bag once they were brought onto the field.

As far as proof goes it doesn't have to be proof like the Patriots fan's want. The NFL uses the "more likely than not" standard as is used in civil cases around the country. The NFL used this standard when suspending Sean Payton for bounty gate. They had no hard proof he knew about it. They just said it was more likely than not he knew about it. The same standard will be applied to the Patriots. 11 of 12 balls did not deflate themselves and absent proof they did the Patriots will get sanctioned.
