SuperBowl Smack and Beer

The Sweetwater Brewing Company of Atlanta, Georgia noted that a local Georgia convenience store had ceased selling Sam Adams Beer until after the SuperBowl. The brewer notified the Boston Beer Company of Boston, Massachusetts via a twitter message.

A twitter-smack war ensued, . . . . documented here: Atlanta and Boston Brewers Make Amazing Super Bowl Wager

And, as it inevitably does, a bet was made between the two brewers. The bottom line, . . . the brewer representing the losing city will have to "rename a beer after the winners team", perhaps New England Patriots Extra Pale Ale in Atlanta or Dirty Bird Lager in Boston.

For the record, DonDiego will be a'rootin' fer the Atlanta Falcons come next Sunday.
Atlanta is as close to Appalachia as a city can be without actually bein' in it. Oh, and poor old DonDiego opines the Patriots have had enough good times for a while anyways.

Jes' a note for those inclined to bet on such sporting events:
The Vegas Line opened at New England minus 3. The early money went on the Pats far enough that the vigorish was -120 on New England and even on Atlanta. It's back to New England minus 3, and -110 on each team.
It looks like it'll stay there barring any significant news.
The Total is holding at 59.
I' ll be betting my usual props-safety and overtime.
I'm inclined to take cousin Matty and the points, plus the under. Holding off on those until Thursday.
Probably a sawbuck on each, and I'm in a couple $5 box pools. I might go to a place with a $100 box but that includes open bar and buffet for two.

No love for Atlanta, just strong dislike for Bellacheat.
I was up at the Pallazo for the AFC and NFC championship games. I won both games. While I'm not a New England Patriot lover, I placed a bet on them in the Super Bowl at -3.

I'll be at the South Point watching party per usual. Betting the Pats (can't believe I just said that) and the under and a couple props of course.
