Syrian Refugees

Just last Friday Øbama said they (ISIS, ISIL, DASH or what ever he wants to call them) were contained. They are under control according to Dear Leader. That means the refugees can all go back home. There's no need for them to seek refuge from a threat that has been contained by....someone.
Yesterday was the first time we attacked the Isis oil trucks - why the delay? Why haven't we blown up the oil fields?

Even MSNBC is slamming obama's lack of a strategy.
I'm old enough to remember the Mariel boat lift. Cuba sent us their garbage. All we ended up getting out of it was prison riots. We filled our prisons with Cubans. The Carter and Obama admins are very similar in their thinking. But at least Carter knew that Castro was an enemy. "Give us your convicts, loons and killers, yearning to cut our heads off......"

The Syrian refugee crisis showcases the stupidity and hypocrsy of the right. For months they've demanded we give weapons to the "moderate" forces in Syria to overthrow Assad and fight ISIS. The "moderates" are the good guys and our allies...so we should give them US weapons and training. Thats the plan you hear from every Republican and message board commander in chief.

But when the "moderates" want to take refuge away from the genocide in Syria then suddenly they aren't moderates anymore. They're terrorists who want to cut our heads off.
So how do you identify who are the "moderates" and who actually are terrorists? There will be some terrorists mixed in , that you can be sure of . Perhaps it is better to error on the side of caution , unless you don't mind being blown to smithereens on your next flight .
As for states being prevented from declining refugees , it seems that if there are states that can allow sanctuary cities in violation of federal law , then states can also refuse to accept refugees if they so desire . Bob
We should arm the Kurds who are begging for arms & are long time proven allies. obama refuses to arm them

The first responsibility of any govt is to keep its people safe. Letting in 10,000 unvetted (words of the FBI) people from a country that has shown it exports terrorism is a violation of that responsibility

Do you think the refugees don't want to go home? This isn't a movie where things get fixed overnight.

DonDiego thanks CowboyKell for his kind response.

However, DonDiego is nothing more than a simple poor old retired rocket scientist. To his knowledge he does not have a "Westlaw account". All he does is google stuff on the internets, . . . and up pops the information.

A majority of US Governors oppose settling Syrian refugees within their States:

Nonetheless, The Obama may decree as He wishes.
