Ahhh, . . . DonDiego would occasionally dig holes as well, . . . but it was just a hobby, after hours.

n a call with senior Obama administration officials Tuesday evening, several governors demanded they be given access to information about Syrian refugees about to be resettled by the federal government in their states. Top White House officials refused.

On the call several Republican governors and two Democrats -- New Hampshire’s Maggie Hassan and California’s Jerry Brown -- repeatedly pressed administration officials to share more information about Syrian refugees entering the United States. The governors wanted notifications whenever refugees were resettled in their states, as well as access to classified information collected when the refugees were vetted.

The administration officials, led by McDonough, assured the governors that the vetting process was thorough and that the risks of admitting Syrian refugees could be properly managed. He added that the federal government saw no reason to alter the current method of processing refugees.

Florida governor Rick Scott asked McDonough point blank if states could opt out of accepting refugees from Syria. McDonough said no, the GOP state official said.

Well, . . . that's comforting.
But states are prohibited from enacting laws which violate federal law, yet they do so.

PJ, then why do states and cities then have the authority to enact laws allowing sanctuary cities?

Because states are not responsible for enforcing federal laws. And being a "sanctuary city" doesn't stop anyone in that city from being deported by federal agents.

I'll require a fee for Future lessons but this one's on the house

Why would obama want to keep this process secret? Why would he want to not tell the governors refugees are being dropped into their state? Isn't this supposed to be the most transparent administration?

It stopped federal agents from deporting Francisco Sanchez before he murdered Kate Steinle because SF officials released the felon onto the streets instead of turning him over to federal officials. Why do liberals support criminals? What's in it for you? How does it benefit anyone other than the criminals? ....only thing I can figure is, a criminal is more likely to vote Democrat.
Even chris mathews is questioning the wisdom of bringing in the syrians
Turkish soccer fans chant "Allahu Akbar" during Paris attack, moment of silence. I'm sure happy that our King has things under control.

Who pays for supporting the refugees, the states or the feds?
Pretty expensive proposition to relocate 10K people incapable of supporting themselves in their new surroundings I would think.
More Liberal voters................that's all that matters.
