In average traffic, the trip to Tunica from Memphis takes about an hour.

Thanks for the TR. I am planning my May trip and you reminded me of a few things I want to put on my to do list.

Love BBQ, prefer the dry rub also, almost makes me want to go to Memphis.

Despite the gambling, it sound like you had a great trip otherwise. Thanks for the tip on the D rooms, I was thinking of staying there having never stayed downtown, but it sounds like it may have a few issues.

Coincidentally the other place that I was thinking of giving a try is the Monte Carlo and it sounds like you were pretty happy all around there.

How is the self parking at Monte Carlo? Can you get to it quickly from your room? Is there a back way in and out of the parking garage in case the strip is crowded?

We actually valeted while at Monte Carlo. I never self-park in Vegas.

i can tell you that the parking lot connects directly to Frank Sinatra Blvd, which is a nice alternative to Las Vegas Blvd on busy days.

What a great trip report! Thanks for sharing! I just can't understand how someone could break a screen on a slot machine, other than the Hell's Angels who shot one in Laughlin.
