Talk sushi to me :)

What are the best sushi joints in town? We usually do the ayce around town. Not really the high end at the strip. I don't eat the really weird stuff but the rest of our group does. I love a good philly roll or basically anything with salmon.
My favorite is Shibuya at MGM. Your group members who are daring would really appreciate the Omakase menu.

Mizumi at Wynn is my second favorite. Excellent sushi and lots of other options for the soft core sushi fans in beautiful setting.
The only one I've tried is Red Sushi at Golden Nugget. They have a decent Happy Hour menu with some good rolls on it. The regular menu prices are a little too high IMO. Its worthwhile if you are already in the neighborhood - but I wouldn't make a destination out of it.
Raw fish?
Not too bad if you cook it.

Seriously, living in Florida, and being an avid angler, I often eat "bait", and raw fish. But I know it's source, and it is often "still kicking" when prepared.
I do not think I would seek to dine on that type of fare is a place like Las Vegas. At the best, the fish is going to be more than one day old.

And I do eat the "weird stuff" also. I even have a rice maker, and mats to make my own, and attended classes one years ago. I happen to enjoy it, more so when very fresh. Most restaurants can not provide that "fresh".

JMHO, of course.

For the value conscious like myself, Buffet Asia on West Sahara/Rainbow Blvd has a good selections of sushis. Lunch is $8.99, dinner is $12.99. This is the yelp website of that place.

Have you tried Nobu at Caesars?

I'm a soft core sushi man. Some chutoro and I'm a happy camper. Especially if someone else is paying for it.

I've dined at Nobu in San Diego. It is outstanding.
Lol. Well, being from Ohio, we didn't have fish at all if you don't count some fish fry. So I never ate seafood at all. Still don't really. But as mentioned being a meat and potato girl means I can appreciate a proper steak and that also means mooing. So basically sushi to me is a raw steak. So I can eat salmon nigiri all day long like candy. Meat candy What also name my homemade jerky and summer sausage. As for freshness in Vegas. You do realize we get planes filled with sushi daily. So while I refuse to eat sushi in Ohio. Our stuff is pretty good. And no, I can't eat cheap buffet sushi. We usually go to hole in the wall sushi joints. Sushi koma, I think, is where we've been the last few times. I haven't been to the high end strip places because I just eat the plain stuff right now mostly. Tuna and salmon. I actually can't eat shrimp at all still.

I've always seen cooked shrimp in the USA. In Japan, it was raw. That was too hardcore for me. Made me a little nauseous.
