Tasty drinks and fine dining from the past

The Westward Ho was famous for its 99 cent, 27 oz. Margaritas and $1.49 foot long 3/4 pound Ho-Dog.

I'll take the margaritas but the ho dog?...
Yeah those hot dogs were big...but they SUCKED.
The Ho Dog looks more suited for porn or 8th grade sex education courses.

Back in the day's of limited finances we stayed at the Ho several times. Ate the Ho dog and the 99 cent strawberry shortcake, we survived. Still have a bit of a fond spot in my heart for the place, that and all of the other casino's that have gone by the way.
How about the $4.95 16oz. t-bone steak dinner at the old Castaways. Not a bad meal for a fin.
You can still get those margaritas at Slots-A-Fun. They're basically a 7-11 slushy with a shot of cheap tequila. The Ho-dog is just ... scary.
I miss the Ho Dogs and 99c margaritas, too. If you hit it just right, there was that free ice cream/topping
buffet, too, remember? Grab a free ice cream sunday, a ho dog and a margarita and plop down in
the lounge for some live music and all around lounge lizard experience. What a wonderful way to
pass an afternoon.
I remember way back... when those Dogs were 50 cents.
