Taxi from airport to Gold Coast.

I have no idea how Uber or Lyft work. What do we do after we land and get our luggage.? Thank You.

The first thing you do is upload the Apps to your smartphone. (Wait on Lyft until just prior to your trip for $5 off first 10 trips good for about 2 weeks or so). Uber your first ride is free (or discounted by $20). When you register, they will collect some information including a credit card to make your trips cashless.

Once you get to McCarren just ask any airport staff for the area where Uber and Lyft pick up. That's what I do when I arrive in a new city like Denver or Chicago, most recently. I Googled and second floor 2M is the pick up at McCarren Terminal 1. Terminal 3 is at Level 1.

You'll never take a cab again.

If you are looking for inexpensive... there are shared shuttle buses just outside the baggage pick up. Is $8 or so each way, IIRC. Takes a little longer, but you get to where you are going without watching a meter tick away when you are stopped in traffic.

I do a shuttle bus to downtown and Uber back to the air port.
TEN bucks to the Fremont in October,about $22 back to Mc Carran.

You could catch a shuttle bus(free) to Sam's Town from the California and Uber to the airport(Or the Gold Coast) from there.

ALL day(24 hr.) bus passes are OK,too. Buy your pass at the bus stops.
Great way to see the strip,if you need to.
I like the double decker ones,if you are less that 5'8" (for the upper level)

Never tried the monorail for strip cruising.
