Taxis in Vegas

Wondering if anyone has ever taken a taxi from fremont downtown to the strip around the Mgm area.If so can you tell me what the price was and did you take the freeway or the strip itself. Thanks all suggestions would be welcome. Thanks alot
From the Stratosphere to Freemont street will run about $15-$20. (I may be a bit over because its been awhile) Your best bet is the Duce at $9.00 for an all day pass. It may be slow, but its cheap.
Never take the strip anywhere. There are streets on either side of it that will get you there much quicker.
A free way to get from downtown to MGM is the Sams Town shuttle. But it takes you way out of the way to Boulder Highway and then a waiting period before the next shuttle.
One time I took a cab from Stratosphere back to where we were staying which was Golden Nugget and it was $20 with tip. He took Las Vegas Boulevard to get to downtown.

It gives one a chance to gamble at Sams or Eastside Cannery.

I love Sams, but the distance to the strip and downtown are the main bad points.
i LOVE this! all these replys and yet noone answered the question! Including me!
Las Vegas taxi fare estimator
Depends on time of day but plan about $27. If it's very early or late, take the strip as there won't be traffic.

Damn, that noone guy sure does get around. He's at my former job still making sure that the thermostat stays on the correct temp.
