Tech advice

Is it jut you or everybody on the pc that has the issue?

Do you have multiple accounts on the pc with separate logins and are all of them effected?

Do the easy stuff and clear cache and cookies and java.

Keyboard is shot to hell. External one works though. I'll just use that
Depending the model you can generally obtain a cheap replacement Keyboard on eBay. Then you have look for the instructions on how to disassemble that particular model. I find YouTube is the best place for the instructions. Some are fairly easy to take apart others are not.

That means the dear keyboard has met with "the big spill". Rubbing alcohol generally removes the sticky stuff without causing damage. However at last resort, keyboards take about 20 to 30 minutes to replace if you are being careful.

I'm not sure but I think I typed twice that nothing was spilled on the keyboard. Looking at the monitor, that's what I'm seeing. Since I keep getting asked or told that it might be the problem, maybe its screwed up too.
What is the make and model of the computer?

If an external keyboard works but the onboard doesn't it is either a short or the language is set incorrectly on the BIOS. Try looking at the BIOS....

I use a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse. I had the dreaded keyboard cofee spill on my laptop when it was less than a year old. I still have alot of isssues because of the spill but i'm limping through with the wireless.
I still don't get why people choose to suffer. For the less than price a Logitech branded wireless keyboard you could have gotten a new replacement keyboard via ebay or a Google search for your laptop.

I went out and bought an external keyboard for $12. Works great, case closed.
