I don't think you will ever see "ELECTRONIC" casinos. When it comes to table games, you need the human factor. Without it you have no contact and that won't work. You will see casinos trying some electronic alternatives and I can tell you why. How many times have you dealt with a "surly" BJ dealer. How many times have you seen a "hustler" craps dealer pushiong for either tips or house edge bets too hard? I've worked in the customer service biz most of my life and there's one thing I have learned. Most people in the the CS biz, including a lot of Mgrs, have no concept.
It's very simple. Whether It's retail or food & beverage, putt putt golf or a fish & toy store, the expectations are simple. The customer responsability is to act reasonably and spend money. Everything else is on the business and the employees.
About 10 months ago I switched industries from food and bev back to retail. I'm not making what I used to, but that will come in time. The one thing I have noticed is my performance compared to longtimers. I started as a "seasonal" emp with hopefull mgt possability, but, all of my mgt exp showed in how i dealt with customers. Fact is that the customer is first and you're not!
Net result is that I'm in their Mgt program now because not only my dept mgr sees this, but others.
Sorry to go on so long. The fact is that a customer service biz requires good customer interaction. You can't accomplish this with a machine.
