True story. My BIL worked for a welfare service here in Florida. Keep in mind this happened in the 1980's when he was earning about $18,000 a year working for the state of Florida. A woman comes in who already had five kids out of wedlock and was pregnant with the sixth. She basically never had a job. My BIL was counseling her and to get right to the point she told him who is the stupid one here, I was paid $36,000 last year and never had to buy groceries and I never went to work.
True story and my BIL didn't have a response for her.

I think the solution is simple offer people on welfare an extra $100 a month if they go on the short, get a vasectomy or whatever. It would save a tremendous amount of money in the long run.Quote
