Tell me why we can't neuter certain people?

Because it is not legal, . . . except when administered by the State as punishment for certain specific crimes, . . . e.g. pedophilia, child molestation, etc.
The list of applicable crimes does not include consensual intercourse between two adults.

See: Chemical and Surgical Castration
Possibly we should change the law.

Just how many kids is enough? I believe if you can't afford them , then you can't have them.
That is why I suggested an incentive based system might be the best way to get at the issue.

Hitler and friends caused forcible neutering to fall out of favor.

I didn't know it was legal anywhere for any reason. Not a good solution.

Think China...how many children were they allowed, and only boys? Any more got the pillow treatment or something of that nature. How nice.
Making stuff up, are you? I don't know any conservative that claims "any type of birth control is abortion".

That is what the whole Hobby Lobby case was about. Hobby Lobby was claiming certain types of birth control were in fact "abortifacients" and that is why they didn't want to pay for them. Your party has been spewing this type of crazy talk for decades.

Which again brings us back to the OP. Conservatives are opposed to birth control and that is why you have idiots like this guy running around having the 25+ kids. Conservatives have neutered the government from being able to do anything sane and rational about the very problem they complain about like telling a guy with 25 kids "hey, I think you need to have a vasectomy."

You wrote many conservatives claim that "any type of birth control is abortion". That was bullshit and you know it. You counter with more bullshit. That is not "what the whole Hobby Lobby case was about". Hobby Lobby didn't want to be forced to pay for insurance that includes some forms of birth control. Some is the key word. Some doesn't mean any.

Conservatives are not opposed to birth control. Conservatives are opposed to rewarding irresponsible behavior by people receiving welfare benefits. Liberals have literally made reproduction by people who can't afford kids in the first place to be a profitable lifestyle. It actually encourages it. It has been that way for generations, and that is the real root of the problem.

I would be opposed to the forced sterilization of any law abiding citizen of our country. That would be almost as bad as the government deciding when people should die...

I think the solution is simple offer people on welfare an extra $100 a month if they go on the short, get a vasectomy or whatever. It would save a tremendous amount of money in the long run.

It seems to me this is what most Liberals fight for. The GOP isn't pushing for such policy.

True story. My BIL worked for a welfare service here in Florida. Keep in mind this happened in the 1980's when he was earning about $18,000 a year working for the state of Florida. A woman comes in who already had five kids out of wedlock and was pregnant with the sixth. She basically never had a job. My BIL was counseling her and to get right to the point she told him who is the stupid one here, I was paid $36,000 last year and never had to buy groceries and I never went to work.

True story and my BIL didn't have a response for her.

I try to avoid the dem vs rep thing but I believe it is the dems who would oppose any type of birth control as impeding the rights of the people. Reps would oppose any abortions. Abortion would never be a proposal anyway, there's no way in hell anyone could be forced into an abortion.
