It's not like I'm just a prude either, because I thought Absinthe was phenomenal and that was pretty raunchy but I would highly recommend you see it if you're looking for a show.

i dont think disliking it has anything to do with being prude. i didnt find it all that raunchy or sexual. i think they tried too hard to make it raunchy and sexual and failed miserably.

when you walk in, the people who show you to your seats touch you - like in a way that is supposed to get you "excited". i dont find being touched by strangers who are doing it because they are paid to - sexy. nor do i find watching middle aged people talking about "oh wow my husband is going to get some tonight!" sexy. same also for gross disgusting dudes wearing daisy dukes.

there is also very little cirque - i wanted to see acrobats. i didnt want to be a part of strangers' sex lives.
I just got back a few days ago and of course the first thing I did was plan another trip.

This time:

Dec. 1-7

Staying at Sam's Town for the first time ever. They offered my fsp and a silver card. Anyone have experience with that? That's for a couple of nights. Then over to M--my absolute favorite. I love the way I am treated there. I think the room is pretty nice too. The last few nights are in Augustus at Caesars. I'm not much of a strip girl, but my DH loves the room there. I'll probably head downtown whilst we stay there and poke around.

So far we haven't planned much. This past trip we did the PHOF which was a delight and he did the Zombie package at The Gun Store--which he loved!

I'm thinking perhaps The Improv at Harrahs and if I'm feeling up to it--Vinnie Favorito. I hate Cirque shows et al. Comedy is more our style. I also want to try to get by the Erotic Heritage museum and if time permits (read: if I can tear myself away from the machines) the Atomic Museum.

ETA: Of course all of the above are comped. ; )

Oct 19-23 at Orleans, with my bride of one month, and six of her old friends from Louisiana. Her friends wil be staying on the strip somewhere, so we will venture out there sometime (I usually avoid the strip if possible).

Will be eating mostly at Orleans, though I know we are all heading downtown one day (women are getting spa treatments at the GN) so most likely we will have a meal at the 777 brewpub at MSS.

Been too busy with moving and wedding/honeymoon plans to think about shows...we will likely go to whatever her friends want to see.

i think your dates may be too early for the christmas display in the atrium but if by some chance its up when you are there, try and get an atrium view room. i had one and i loved waking up in the morning and looking out my window and seeing christmas.

Very cool thread! I'm enjoying reading everyone's plans.
I don't have a trip planned and most likely won't go until next Feb. ( I do like going then as I'm about crazed by the cold weather).
I have only stayed on the strip except one time I stayed downtown at GN, which I liked. Great location and I like being able to walk to so many thing easily.
Any suggestions on DT hotels? I do like rooms with nice bathrooms.
I live in a little house my dad built and only has a shower, hotel bathrooms must have great tubs...
lol

you may have to stick with the golden nugget.

or maybe a fancy plaza suite, which can be had for relatively cheap.

Thanks. I would stay at GN again. I can get a reg. room comped at GN so maybe I can get some sort of deal on a suite.
I would have no problem paying up front for a suite and try to gamble as much off as I can.
What about MSS? Any thoughts?
ive stayed at mss and if you are looking for a great tub, look elsewhere.
Noted, lol
thanks
once its confirmed that "yes, your play today counts towards vegas", i will take a trip to the golden nugget in atlantic city and try for vegas comps. i stayed at the golden nugget once and loved the room. however, i hate the casino and dont want to play there ever again.
