People: Me(27 male)/ Mom (female/???)- She called me at work one day and said..."You want to go to Vegas, Im paying" Answer: Yes

Flight: Round trip out of Cleveland-Vegas non-stop each way via Continental. Arriving the morning of 10/11 and departing night of 10/15.

Hotel: This is was a tough decision since I was not comped anywhere. If anyone looked at that particular week alllll the hotels are extremely high prices, possibly due to all the conventions. Instead of booking through a hotel I looked on VRBO.com and booked the MGM Grand Signature suites for 5 nights....$625 out the door...that includes everything(yes and the resort fee too). Ive stayed there before and really enjoyed it.

Things to do: Well I feel like a cheapskate having my mom pay so she loves Donnie and Marie so I bought us two tickets to that. I hope to try a few new restaurants. Restaurants.com has gift certs. for almost every restaurant in Mandalay Bay. I also always enjoy the Grande Luxe inside the Venetian and the Paris/Bellagio lunch buffets. We will also head downtown one night...can't pass up $2 Heineken and $0.99 fried Oreos and Twinkies on Fremont St. I will also play in a few poker tourneys.

I typically am always on the go when Im in Vegas...usually never have any down time. Out of respect to my mom I will spend some good quality time with her..eating, drinking, shopping,etc/ Hope its atleast 85-90 degrees too so I can get some good pool time in.

Leaving tomorrow evening and I am so excited that I can't sleep so I am up early. My big plan is to hit the wheel of fortune and buy me a new boat and a huge truck to tow it.

Staying at the Encore Dec. 2-4 with my wife for our 20th anniversary. Hoping to get upgraded to upper floors- nicer suites and maybe see Barry Manilow, who my wife just loves (muy expensive). Going to see LeReve as well. Can't wait- haven't been to LV since the summer of 2008.

Leaving to go there 1-4 through 1-11.Will have 3 comped nights at El Cortez and 3 at Main Street Station.May leave during the weekend to visit my marine son in California or he might be comming into Vegas instaed, have not worked that out yet.Will be there to enjoy a couple of college bowl games, openning weekend of NFL playoffs, lots of video poker, lots of cocktails, some blackjack,...........

i finally got the orleans offer ive been waiting for! so now im all booked, although i do expect my plans to change a bit as we get closer.

right now im:

five nights caesars (this is not changing, ever)

three nights at el cortez (if i do change this, im still keeping the room)

two nights at california. id gladly give this up for a "surprise" offer somewhere i dont normally get offers from. i do like the california and spend a LOT of time at the stp at fremont. but without any bonuses like free play or dining, i dont NEED to stay here.

three nights at imperial palace - LOVE the balconies.

all are comped.

Shopping?

Just got back. We used 3 restaurant.com certificates at three places we had never been. Putter's down by Southpoint. The pizza was awesome. Buzz BBQ in Summerlin. The blackberry cobbler ala mode was tremendous. Montesano's in Henderson. Nothing special, at all.
The Vdara was great, no smells or sounds permeate the hallways or room.
We had a great time playing Lord of the Rings when we couldn't sleep at PH around 3 am.
Went to the Paiute Cigar shop DT. Sketchy neighborhood but picked up some cigars that I have never tried before.Proceeded to get stink eye from cigarette smoker at the GN DT for smoking one of them. Sure, your cigarette is Night Blooming Jasmine.
Other than that.....Just lots of laughs with my wife, as always in our 4th trip to LAS since March. No wins to speak of. Had 5 of 6 on a $20 parlay but the Steelers and Texans played a low scoring game so just donated for the most part. Curses!

I am going Dec 8........which is before jenaphir goes. I booked the last 2 nights at GN Rush Tower, and will probably be at Caesars the first 2 nights


But the most important part is.....it's before jenaphir's trip

Early December. Suncoast or SouthPoint. Play golf at Shadow and Anthem. Drinks and dinner with some vegasmessageboard.com peeps. Meet up with the Canucks on Sunday then all head up to Mesquite for our annual media golf tourney.
