I'll add 24 hour Coney Dogs, the Vue Bar & its terrace, their old-school keno lounge and the $25 LVA matchplays.

That caramel nut brownie is enough to get me check it out. Yum!

Andiamo’s Italian Steakhouse at The D is outstanding. While I've only stayed at the D once and prefer gaming elsewhere, I look forward to eating at the Andiamo's for my fourth time. It's expensive (maybe $65 before drinks, tax and tip), but the same meal on the strip costs one $110.

Easily the best attribute of The D is the bar top video poker in the upstairs Vue Bar.

Quarter 8/5 Bonus Poker with progressives on both the Royal and 4OAK. I keep thinking it wont last but they've kept it there for many years now. I don't know what the payback pct works out to - but I'm pretty sure its over 100%. I have not seen better schedules at any other bar top in the city....and since the bartender is right in front of your face you can add all those fast-coming free drinks to your winnings.

the coney dogs are nothing special at all. there are better late night options. I have spent quite a bit of time playing table games with my players card and I get ZERO offers. the way too loud music sucks. $20.00 a night resort fee sucks. I have tried to like the place but they don't make it easy. I like the theme / décor and the eye candy. I might have to try the brownie. thanks for posting the article, it helps to see others point of view. I hope they do something better with the old LVC -- and no blaring music!!

You don't have to pay that nasty resort fee on comped rooms. (But first you have to one of those)
Sometimes, if I find the music too much to take, I wander back to the area by checkin or the section near Walgreens.
It seems less overwhelming there.

It sure will be interesting to see what they do with the LVC.

Am I the only one who likes those American Coney Island Chili-Cheese Dogs? I like them because they have a little snap to them...and the perfect amount of chili grease. A Detroit tradition since 1917!
