There is a link to their Facebook to offer condolences.
Maybe you should give yours.
Very sad for everyone involved. I will be sure to share this with my daughter, who gets her learners permit soon, and some of her newly licensed friends. Thanks Kev.

What a beautiful compassionate response. Did you take a break from torturing small animals to post this?
It really is terrible that people just don't appreciate the danger of distracted driving. For 2011, an estimated 25% of crashes involved drivers talking and texting on cell phones. Every day, I hope that none of the people I care about talks on their phone or texts while driving, or encounters someone else who is. It's just too dangerous.

The people who do it aren't necessarily bad. They're just foolish. Foolish in a way that kills, themselves and others.
Well said, Chilcoot.
I can remember when laws were implemented for holding a cell phone while driving. To me, texting is ten times worst. How many times have you had to suddenly hit your brakes for something you didn't see coming? You have virtually no chance if you are texting.

I only pray that when I have to stop suddenly that the person behind me sees what is going on. I see people texting all of the time when I'm stopped for a stop light.
I have never understood this need for texting. What is it about texting that makes people want to text every goddamn minute of their lives? I just do not get it.
