Thanks for the shout out Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber won awards for favorite pop/rock male artist and for favorite pop/rock album at the American Music Awards on Sunday night. He stated "This is for all the haters". Actually he meant for all of the "Justin Bieber haters". I am proud to admit that I am a card carrying "Justin Bieber hater". I don't hate him as a person, but I hate his music, and question what has happened to this country's music tastes when the biggest pop stars are Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Nicki Minaj? They aren't exactly my parent's Elvis, Beatles, and Rolling Stones, or my U2, Eagles, and Guns N' Roses. So thanks for the shout out JB. I appreciate it.

He has a lot to learn. Time will teach him the many harsh lessons that life has in store for him. The only "hater" he will really know is the one in his mirror. The media and his "handlers" will have a large say in the person he will eventually become.

I'll join the hater club.

I'm no fan, but something tells me we aren't exactly his target audience. My 21 year old daughter and her friends think Bieber is a joke, they are too old, they were the Spice girls generation.

Old people are not supposed to like young peoples music.

Elvis, Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Guns N' Roses weren't exactly loved by the parents of their fans. I'm not saying Bieber is in that class, this is a teenybopper thing. Any middle aged man that loves Bieber should be watched, closely.

You would think with all his money he could have afforded a shirt to wear to the event

Wow. Talk about going out of your way to insult someone who most likely does not affect your daily lives.
I am not into his music but I respect him as an up and coming artist.

Tell him to knock his ego down about 20 slots, and maybe I'll change my mind. It is a travesty that this guy is the supposed best music artist in the nation.

When I see pictures of him it sparks some instinctive desire in me to punch him in the face. I cant explain it. I just want to punch him in the face.

Does that qualify as "hate" or do we chalk that one up to an unexplained phenomenon?

I suspect if it wasn't for his singing, he would have spent his high school years trying to figure out how to get out of his locker
