Just made plans to be in Vegas for Thanksgiving. Her daughter is coming in from IL. and I've gotten suites with adjoining rooms and we'll either eat at her son's house in Pahrump, or her ex's house in Vegas. I had to promise that a certain person wouldn't be meeting me in Vegas. But that's all over. Quite another story there, as she seems to have "dumped" me. She's getting out of jail next Tuesday, and instead of me picking her up when she gets out, a person that she has never met, and whose house I've stored her truck and belongings at, will do the pick up. BUT, she was kind enough to set me up with one of her jail mates so I wouldn't feel too bad. What a joke.
But I'm not ready to get involved with anyone else right now, so I think I'll pass. Our dog sitter has gone back to Chicago and I just made reservations for him to return Nov. 17th, the week before Thanksgiving. And I sure do miss him as I now have to take up all his chores around the house. Faye is still in a foot boot, and wakes me up in the middle of the night to take her to the bathroom. I haven't had a good nights sleep in weeks.
Not only that, but I have to give three dogs their medication every morning as well as feed all of them at night. I never realized that there was so much to do to take care of 6 dogs. Picking up their poop in the backyard is the easiest part. But they're my "babies" and I'll do anything for them.
I might hire the person she tried to set me up with to take care of Faye. She was a registered nurse in Arizona, and could help her get back on her feet and rehabilitate. I can't believe she's been off her feet since June 1st. Needless to say, I can't say that she knows Sharlene.
At least there will be plenty of football around Thanksgiving, and hopefully hit one of those Royals that keep on avoiding me the last trip. A nice $30,000 Royal in the High Limit Salon would be just the ticket.
So, November 19th will be our arrival date. I'm sure going to miss having someone there, but a promise is a promise, and she won't want to be there anyway. Such is life! It sure is a topsy turvey world. One of these days I'll finally get over her.
